We have all had Hep B and all the normal ones for UK.
Kids had MMR along with all the other routine ones.
Flu jab is next week.

Hi Ann
In the UK now Trusts are asking for MMR - have just had mine - not funny side effects - my neck has ached for 2 weeks now!

I made sure both me and hubby had ours and had no problems with any side effects.

Yeah I checked with immigration and board of nusing and my sister is a nurse in usa you need MMR jabs to work as a nurse and to immegrate, you need to show mmr jab dates for green card.
We had ours at our GPs no side effects no problems no charge nurse just did it.

My nursing school health records marked me of as "immune due to date of birth". Rubella titres are checked as part of prenatal care over here, so if you've ever been pregnant, chances are you were immune unless you had a "go see the doctor" call.
yes I have my Rubella titres from when I had my first baby.
what about the M and M I do not think they do titres for them.

unless you are planning on getting pregnant in the next 3 months I would just go ahead and get the vaccinations as they will probably try and sell it to you if you have no proof of immunity.Usually GP's won't charge for it, mine didn't and I am a practice nurse and have given it a few times for immigration and not charged

We had to as part of the green card process, and then I had to have another (to show I'd had the full course of 2) when I went back into nursing a few years later. I didn't come here with my job but with my hubby's. All that and I had all those diseases as a child. I don't remember any side effects though.

Just an update:
If you were born before 1959, you only got one MMR, or equivalent. If after, you are given two. For those that were born before, they will do titres, and if you have antibodies, no need for a second injection.
But it is not automatic and you will be either tested or given an injection to work in the US as a nurse.
This change has been over the past few years.

we just noticed when we come back home that our copy of worksheet vaccination document, which was given by knightbridge, below the form is a ticked box written under result,"vaccination incomplete, applicant maybe eligible for blanket waiver(s) because vaccination(s) not medically appropriate.our vaccinations are complete except me, they gave me 2 more shots.
