MJC 2018 Spring application

Published

IM applying Spring 2018 for the MJC ADN program. Who else is applying?

I see your point and I agree, Angie; there's definitely a difference between the nursing advisors (who are nursing program faculty members) and the allied health counselors (Marcos and Vie).

But I think what Gio and some of us were talking about was having our individual applications reviewed prior to submission to make sure we don't get DQ'd for listing something incorrectly. I'm not sure if the nursing advisors are willing to do this, but if they are that's awesome! I was just sharing my experience last week with Vie Champa reviewing my application to make sure everything is A-OK.

Also- and correct me if I'm wrong, but I was told that the supporting documentation form for the ADN-to-BSN-ready certification must be filled out and signed by one of the counselors and not one of the nursing advisors (for several reasons). This is actually why I saw Vie in the first place, and she filled out/signed the supporting documentation form for me... I'm trying to get all of my supporting docs started now, just in case. It was during that meeting that I expressed my anxiety to Vie about my application and she offered to pull mine up and go over it with me.

:-)

P.S. guys..... T-minus 1 day, 22 hours, and 17 minutes...........

Yes, Vie and Marcos sign that form! I went to Marcos. I didn't know they helped with filling it out though, wish I would have known earlier so I would have completed. I'm excited though!

Are any of you guys able to see your English prereq submission when you view your application on the 'View submitted application' mode? It's not showing up on mine but when I view it in 'View application summary' it's accounted for with the correct points. I have no idea what's going on and I'm trying not to freak out about it lol

Nvm, fixed it!

Hi All. I just submitted MJC application yesterday with 78 points. Good luck to everyone!

Just submitted my application with 75 points. Best of luck everyone.

I also saw someone started a facebook page for everyone applying this year. Its called MJC Nursing Applicants in case anyone wants to join.

I just tried to check my application and it won't let me. It only gives me the 'View application summary' option. Is anyone else experiencing this?? I thought we had until 11:59 tonight to view/modify our application... hope it's just a glitch!

I just checked mine, it's doing the same thing. We definitely have until 11:59 tonight so I wouldn't worry too much, Gio! The server is probably bombarded with a bunch of anxious students (like us) reviewing their applications for the thousandth time even though they're not going to make any changes :D

It's a glitch! Just got off the phone with allied health, I guess the computer accidentally closed the application a day early. They're hoping to have it up and running again by about 10:00am

Nothing but the truth haha! Will be trying again later and hopefully the system is back to normal so we can check one last time. Thank you drewseph92 for your help and best of luck to you and to all who applied!!

This is it you guys! One step closer :)

Good luck to you all and hope to be in class with you, if some of us don't make it this year keep trying theres always a way and if not this year next year!!

I applied to the Columbia satellite program this year because I don't think my points are competitive enough for MJC but incase I don't make it this year, I'm applying next year again with stronger points. Good Luck all of you.!
