MJC 2018 Spring application

Published

IM applying Spring 2018 for the MJC ADN program. Who else is applying?

Now the wait starts...

again...

I just applied with 73 points I was looking to see what most had.. seems like more than me but still remaining hopeful!

I thought they didn't allow this because then everyone would apply at Columbia and take the MJc classes instead? I heard of special circumstances but I know they frown on it. Unless it has changed but hopefully it works out for you and all of us waiting for their reply!

Yes this is correct, you have to be at the Columbia campus

hi there! Just wondering who all applied for the advanced placement pathway!? I spoke to Donna and she said MJC received a grant to allot 20 additional spots specifically for LPT/LVNs! woohoo! best of luck to alll

That's amazing news for the LVN and Psych Tech applicants!!! I'm happy for you guys who will get to benefit from it, you deserve it!!!

Yeah, tell me about it.... 29 more days, you guys (back to the ol' countdown ;D)

Yes, if you apply (and are accepted into) the program at Columbia, you have to attend all lectures at that campus. But you do come over to Modesto for a couple of the clinical rotations.... 3rd semester I believe, is that right?

My friend is currently in the nursing program at Columbia. She will start her third semester in the fall. Second semester you do clinicals in Modesto at Doctors Hospital and I believe she said they were down there starting the second week until the week before finals. So unfortunately it's quite a bit more than what I remember being told in the guidance class but she said it was worth it and her favorite semester so far.

I checked my application and was checked off on all my documents with green check marks, all except my Teas í ½í¸• Not sure why? Anyone else have this happen?

Maybe they are checking the transcripts for it? Mine don't have any check marks at all. Just date received. Sorry I don't have any info!

You can attend lecture in Modesto and take tests there but you have to come to Columbia for skills lab, which 1st semester is every Monday and Tuesday until clinicals start. Not sure about additional semesters.

You can attend lecture and take exams at the Modesto campus even if you are accepted into the Columbia program.
