Hey all,
While looking at information for the Modesto Junior College RN program I came across an awesome thread on here for the 2018 application period. It was great to read through and see how much they motivated each other. It gives us an opportunity to stress together and bond while waiting to see if we get in. I am hoping to make a successful thread for those of us ready to apply in May.
Best of luck to all

The Feb 2020 application period will only be applicable to the NEW MSPAR that will be published on June 2019 on the MJC website. The new MSPAR changed the point distribution and they will now admit 20% in the lottery system. Which means they will take 80 applicants based on points and 20 applicants based on ramdom lottery for fall+spring semesters.(see my previous post, i went on detail with how they distribute the points on the new MSPAR)
Basically, any MJC nursing applications that is submitted here on out will be applicable to the NEW MSPAR and the new application period date(Feb 2020 and beyond). it will no longer be May.
Hopefully i got that cleared up for you
I spoke to Marcos last week, even though the MSPAR was not approved yet they will not just let any one into the lottery. They're thinking of making it also by a point system. For example, you have to have a minimum of 65 points to get into the lottery. As Marcos said last week it is not finalized so we don't really know for sure but they should implement it by June. another thing he did tell me is that this years application period will go by faster. we will know if we are invited to provide documentation by June 3d and they will most likely want all documents brought in by the end of next week. Best regards to all.
Wanted to see if anyone else is having this problem. I submitted my application yesterday and received a follow up email stating the submission was successful. However, today when I login to the website to view the application on the right side where it says "last submitted on" it states "not submitted"... anyone else seeing this or just me??

No, mine states that it is submitted and the date and time of submission is noted. You might want to try resubmitting.

To my understanding (anyone correct me if I am wrong please) accepted applicants will be getting emails this Monday June 3rd with supporting docs due by June 6.
OK, that's where I heard June 3rd and that sounds right. Thank you!
Do you or anyone else know how long they expecting to take to evaluate the supporting docs? I guess I'm going to have to purchase the castle branch package from Delta by June 5th because I'm not going to know anything by then... I was trying to avoid paying for that if I didn't need to, but at least I will have all my titers done early if MJC ends up accepting me.
Is anyone else considering doing Delta if they aren't accepted until the Spring?

You won’t actually know if you got into MJC until early to mid July most likely. I think by the second week of July based on last year’s application.

I heard from one of the advisors that they are trying to do everything faster this year. The goal is to have evaluations and final answers done by the end of June. Fingers crossed they move that fast.
