  1. I stand corrected. Thanks for clarifying that up
  2. That link apply to both scholarship and non scholarship sequential enrollment applicants. https://www.mjc.edu/instruction/alliedhealth/adnprogram/documents/dase_page/03272019_nonscf_app.pdf One of the questions is "what will you do with your degree in the stanislaus service area" For Non csf scholarship u still need to work for three years in the stanislaus area. Bcuz the first link i provided pertains to both i believe Correct me if im wrong but the pdf contradicts what u said.
  3. are you talking about the MJC/CSU Stan sequential enrollment where they give you BSN classes over the summer while being an ADN MJC student? From my recollection in my nursing 115 class, the sequential enrollment is very stringent. The bummer is that you have to commit to working in stanislaus county for THREE years when you're done, and you have to be a resident of stanislaus county as well. There's too many strings attached to that sequential enrollment https://www.mjc.edu/instruction/alliedhealth/adnprogram/documents/dase_page/03252019_sequential_enrollment_pathway.pdf Unless you plan to work in the area for THREE years, they probably won't let you in. Also, you still have to do ONE year of online classes from csu stan after your ADN is done. (that is no different than simply applying to any RN--BSN programs elsewhere which also take less than 1 year to complete).
  4. to say it's more competitive is a major understatement. If you don't have a 4.0 cumulative GPA, 4.0 in FOUR science GPA, 92+ Teas, don't bother applying.(unless you a CSU stan student AND a resident in a specific region(merced/calaveras for example because that's 15 points u won't get to have). Not only that but they only have 30 spaces in their BSN program. My friend applied with 3.8 cumulative 4.0 in FOUR science GPA, 4.0 in non science requisite GPA(speech, english, etc), 92% TEAS and she still didn't get in(12th alternate). SHe would've gotten in if she was a resident in their specific region (5 points) AND a student at csu stan(10 points_).
  5. BSN programs are highly competitive. They just don't factor in science GPA, but overall GPA as well. Also, they factor in FOUR science GPAs(chemistry included) instead of three. A friend of mine got a 4.0 in science prereqs and 92% on teas and she still didn't get in CSU stan's bsn program. (i believe she was 12th alternate) Your best bet is to go to the ADN route from a CC, then get your BSN online(and no, u don't have to do the bridge program from CSU stan) because there are plenty of other accredited online BSN programs you can apply to once you get your ADN.
  6. wow, that's basically a perfect score and the only deductions you had were probably LVN licensing/experience or not having a bachelor degree. what website is the official online ati practice test? also, where did you buy the mometrix study guide? did you only take the TEAS once? how much and how long did you study before you took the teas?
  7. actually, i'm going to retract what i said. If you are on the bubble 71-75 range score range, i too would probably would be stressing out so now i understand where most people are coming from. That or if you unintentionally messed up sending in documents and is disqualified over a trivial error. Sucks that some of you on the bubble will burst (i'm talking about the people who are on the low end of the alternate list and not get in). For those who have competitive scores(usually 76 or higher), i probably wouldn't be worried.(presuming of course you got your documents prepared correctly). I'm applying in 2020 and it's WAYY more competitive because of the new MSPAR... they are only taking 80 aplicants based off merrit instead of 100 applicants. If i don't at least have 78-80 points, i wouldn't be disappointed if I bubbled out and not get in. Then again, i'm very realistic with myself. I have to acknowledge that getting in the nursing program is very competitive.
  8. why is everyone worried? if your score is high enough, you should get in. You should already know where you stand and you shouldn't be disappointed if you didn't get in because you already know your score beforehand. (unless you messed something up on your application) You also have to factor in people applying to multiple nursing schools who will not accept their seat. According to allied health counselor marcos, It's usually 6-8 people who won't accept because they got accepted elsewhere (ARC in sac, Delta, CSU Stan, Merced, las positas, etc). if you are 10-20 in the alternate list, i wouldn't get my hopes too high though. You have to be realistic with yourself here.
  9. what was your overall TEAS score? and what study guide did you use to prepare? also, what grades did you get for your science prereqs at delta?
  10. i'm not surprised by this. I'm guessing, the majority of people who got in delta's nursing program took their science prereqs in other colleges. Microbiology and especially physiology from what i hear is VERY difficult at delta(they have difficult professors)
  11. i try not to rely on alternate spots because that is contingent if some students don't want to accept their nursing spot. (Unless you are the top 3 alternate)
  12. so 76 was the minimum cutoff point to delta this fall 2019 what was the previous scores? anyone know
  13. i thought you said you were 1% short of getting an A in anatomy. Did you petition a grade change or you didn't read your transcript grade correctly?
  14. What points did you earn to raise your score?
  15. yup, it's slightly lower this year Fall 2018 was 72 spring 2019 was 73 it's 71 this year. 2020 and beyond, i'm guessing it will skyrocket to 78+ due to the new MSPAR.
