Hi guys! I thought it would be a great idea to start a new thread for those of us who are planning on applying to Modesto Junior College RN program. It would be great if we would all share with how many points we are applying with, this would give us an idea to see what are our chances are on getting in the program. With all the new changes, it is hard to tell what the cutoff on the points will be. I will be retaking my TEAS and hoping to apply with maybe 80 points or so. Hopefully ?????

I did not apply for advance placement. I tried to apply and see if I qualified but when I met with Marcos, he said that I didn't qualify for advance placement because I did not take the Nurse 259 (??) class that is specifically for LVN to RN transition. I'm applying in the regular pool with 91 points.

I thought they asked for supporting documents for everyone qualified and then from there they picked. Is it different this year?

You are correct. They will be requesting documents from everyone that qualifies and this year it will be a lot more because of the lower number of points for lottery.

Now I have seen another person say they talked to Donna and she told the student if they asked for supporting documentation they were in. Is the application process different then?

I saw the same thing on FB just now. I am not sure anymore because what I was telling you also came from Donna a couple weeks back. ?

Yes. This was posted earlier.

I am assuming that they need to verify our points first, then the responses for acceptance or denial will come. I haven't received the official email yet, only that I'm selected to turn in supporting documents from the online application sight. I have to wait until tomorrow for that damn email.

In your student email, right? Nothing yet in my personal gmail or junk

So I’m assuming they already did the lottery?
