MJC allnurses 2020

Updated:   Published

Hi guys! I thought it would be a great idea to start a new thread for those of us who are planning on applying to Modesto Junior College RN program. It would be great if we would all share with how many points we are applying with, this would give us an idea to see what are our chances are on getting in the program. With all the new changes, it is hard to tell what the cutoff on the points will be. I will be retaking my TEAS and hoping to apply with maybe 80 points or so. Hopefully ?????

does anyone know why people are submitting their BOG waiver?

I thought you said how not why. It is needed for proof of low income for optional criteria points

I spoke with Marcos today & was told that they had around 500 applicants this year and that he was told that the cut off will be higher than last year, but he isn’t sure what it will be! Ugh.

Is San Joaquin Delta College considered and out of district college? I'm not sure if I need to include course descriptions and catalog covers for my courses taken at delta college. I just don't want to mess up and get disqualified.

Hi; I took majority of my classes at delta and I printed catalog and descriptions

Hello,

I got asked for supporting documentation also. I read how Marcos said the cut off points will be higher this year and I really hope not since I have 76 points. I believe I heard 74 points was the cut off last year. I hope that's not the case ?

Also, anyone taken courses at Merced college and are printing course descriptions for it? Their catalog cover page does not show the years on it. I emailed MJC and they said it was okay, but I'm still worried about it.

And for the need to work criteria, I read through it several times. I believe it is okay to just give a pay stub without needing a signature correct?

Thanks!

For Merced college you’re required to print out course descriptions ?

For "out-of-district," I thought that meant any college that is not MJC? I could be wrong

I just emailed both of the nursing counselors asking if we need course descriptions. Hopefully either of them reply soon, I want to turn in my documentation tomorrow morning.

Hey all,

Quick question: I got the email to submit supporting documentation and they said we should know by April 13 the status. Is there any chance we might know before then? 7 weeks is a long time, and I know they have a lot to go through in terms of paperwork, but was it something like they go through everyone then decide who is accepted or do they do it one by one and let each know as they go through them? Just curious if anyone knows anything. Good luck everyone!

I emailed and asked if Delta was considered out-of-district and they said no.

I emailed Marcos and he said you do need course descriptions for the 8 prerequisites only
