MJC allnurses 2020
Geez I thought you were done already lol..you don't sound like a realist you sound like a pessimist who lack compassion for others. The nursing department obviously knows what they are doing when they decided to include a SMALL portion for lottery. I'm not sure what you are SO concerned about?? If your points are high then why are so concerned with the lottery?? You should be a sure in right? MJC used to ONLY be lottery so imagine all the screws ups that are in the hospitals calling themselves nurses because of that Lol ?♀️?♀️ You really need to humble yourself and if you were fortunate enough to have no trials during your schooling then great for you but not everyone walks the same path. And that's okay we need a VARIETY of nurses, not just those who haven't experienced trials and tribulations such as yourself. We all have strengths and weaknesses. Idk how you were raised or your background but I come from a place that doesn't judge because I know we ALL have a story and no one person is better then the next. You should definitely think about adopting that ideology because you are entering a field that if your lack of compassion isn't there you are doing your patients a HUGE disservice. Life isn't that black and white and for the record my points are in the 70's and if someone in the 60's takes a lottery spot it just wasn't meant to be. God is in control remember that???

Actually I gotta correct you on that. I work at a hospital and there are MANY nurses I work with that their grades for one reason or another didn't make the cut and they had to find alternate routes. Some chose private while others chose to commute to get into a program. Let me tell you though they are some of THE most amazing nurses. So your mistaken in thinking those that have gotten C's won't make the cut. What I've learned is it's PERSEVERANCE that separates those that get through the program. A person doesn't have to be top of their class they just need to have that fire to succeed.

Ya not sure I agree with you there?? everyone's situation is different and the lottery is only a small fraction of those selected. And just because someone gets selected for the lottery doesn't mean they didn't work as hard as those chosen strictly by points. I'm sure I speak for the majority when I say if we've gotten to this point we've ALL worked our butts off. What may come easy to others is a struggle for some so I see it as an opportunity for those to get in that wouldn't otherwise have a chance. So good luck to all ???

Okay so this was his exact wording; "I'm not sure if all the students being asked for documentation are the ones that will be in the program. The nursing program is just verifying the points and then they probably will run the merit based ones and the lottery group" He also said if we did ALL our classes at MJC no official documents needed to be turned in. I mean transcripts not documents ?

Has anyone confirmed for sure whether being selected to include supporting documents means we are selected?? I don't want to get my hopes up but keep reading different things..
