Several of my friends are already in nursing school here in Texas and we had a good laugh the other day from an article on this very site! Someone was relating an incident with an 81-year-old female patient, slightly combative, sedated and incubated.
The incubated is a autocorrect issue. My phone did it all the time until it finally learned LOL. It still drives me crazy with other nursing terms, however, It's getting better
What drives me nuts? People who think it's their god given duty to correct someone when they mispronounce a word. It's rude and they should have been taught better manners by their parents.
Not nursing related....but coupon as "kyew-pon". Drives me batty!! It's French, people! It's koo-pon. You don't say kyewmadin, do you? You don't ask, "Kyew-d you get me a glass of water?", do you?
Oh, and I don't say the "t" in often, sorry. Never will.

Which is why I only SILENTLY judge people's grammar. :)
YES!! Especially trying to fix scared, confused, elderly, or peds patients. However, I am glad when someone helps me without laughing at me (hint, I'm scared of pharmacology...) cause I do need to learn it right the first time.
