Mieux de vie

Hello guys,

does anyone know the meaning of “Mieux de vie” ? That is asked in most of job interview

That's an interesting job interview question, but my limited French would suggest it refers to something "of life", and the other phrases including "mieux" refer to something that is good, or better than, plus google says it means "better life".

Why would they want you to translate French? I had never heard of this phrase. Is it a phrase that is associated with some type of therapy?

That is a French term and used for geriatric center or residency

This is only a wild guess but, if it's something you've heard - rather than read - could you have misheard it? "Mieux" is very similar sounding to "milieu" (if spoken rapidly). And "milieu de vie" makes more sense in job interview. This would refer to where you live, or the kind of environment you live in.

Then again, I could be wrong.

Unless you're applying for a job in France or Eastern Canada, I would be very concerned with their choice to use a French translation of "better life" instead of just "better life".

In that case are you sure it isn't lieux de vie?

lieux = place/places

vie = life

= places to live.

Ex: Random website that came up from searching the terms + elderly

"Better Life" is a natural cleaning product alternative for consumers.

It's abstract, because basically, ali, the interviewer is asking if you favor a holistic approach, characterized by comprehension of the parts of something as intimately interconnected and explicable only by reference to the whole, versus an allopathic approach that aims to combat disease by use of remedies (as drugs or surgery) producing effects different from or incompatible with those produced by the disease being treated.
