Hey everyone! I've become interested in applying for MWSU for Fall 2015, but I have yet to see any threads about it so I decided to start one myself! Could anyone help me with their point system?
Yeah that what really made me want to take it at TCC because it was only $37 and I am trying to conserve money on whatever possible lol. Well i work at a bank and sit down all day, so all I do while I am at work is study study study and then study more when I get home. So I think I will have plenty of time to cover everything and not be worried about passing the test at all. People have told me it is pretty easy, so that helped to calm my nerves. Yes that is true, I will email them back and ask that. Did you apply for admission into the university? Yeah that what I am scared of getting roommates that are complete opposite of me and not getting along. I hate drama as well, I pretty laid back person.. Nursing school is probably going to be enough of a headache, I don't need crazy roommates to add to it lol
Ya I already got accepted into the university, I applied think October or so. They just need me to send my transcript , showing this semester grades. You would be fine, I believe that. U would come out of the exam with smiles, then I would remind you, that I told you so. I called housing today, they told me you can apply for the housing anytime with a 100 dollars deposit, and you be guarantee a spot in any apartment you choose. I would put the deposit in January, so am sure I have that out of the way.
I am waiting to take patho and the health class at midwestern because I already have taken intro nurs and stats. @angieperry you can email CR and she can add up your points for you if you want to know and kind of have some reassurance.
@Tiffaniebush am am taking intro sociology at TCC during this wintermester you should take it there because my professor is really quite easy. And if you are not sure about your points email CR so she can add them up for you and you can plan your schedule accordingly. Just keep yourself hopeful, When I first emailed CR she told me I would only have 63 points but now im taking 2 of the classes I need in the first 8 week session at TCC and they will be finished before the application deadline. So she said if I get A in those classes I should jump up to 67-68 points now. The cutoff is usually 65 and up is what she said, and the last Fall 2014 the cut off was 66 but she said that they accepted alternates and went down to people with 63.5 points as alternates last semster and the semster before that they went down to 61. So just stay positive and I would definitely email or call CR.

Yeah they just got my last transcript from TCC and it says decision being made or something like that, so I should know hopefully by the beginning of Jan and wont have to worry about that any longer. Not really worried about getting accpeted into the actual university though. Lol yes if I come out smiling and passed I will definitely let you tell me you told me so lol! :) Yeah I was just about to tell you that because housing emailed me back and said I could apply to housing as soon as I was accepted so I will probably go ahead and do the application and deposit end of Jan beginning of Feb maybe after I take the Hesi test. So if we do it like Jan or beginning of Feb we should be guaranteed a spot in the apartment we want?
@keunnamonae getting into uni not a big deal to me though. As long as u have a 3.0 and above, u can virtually get into any university. I can't wait to get my hands on those applications, so exciting. Am taking pathophysiology only coz, financial aid gives u more money if you full time. Also heard intro to nursing is pretty easy just pathophysiology is a bit challenging so I heard. Ya I would apply for housing in January though...
Yeah @angieperry I was going to do the same thing. Drive up there and give her my app and let her calculate my points up for me again after I have finished my classes for the 8 week session. I was also going to tour the campus because I haven't actually been to msu before lol.
@lorr19 oh yeah that shouldn't be a problem since I have a 3.7 overall lol. I know right the wait is agonizing, I just like let it be March already. An then once we turn in the apps then were all going to be like I wish it was April so I know if i got in! lol Oh yeah I will only have to technically take 2 classes my first semester in the program since I've already taken intro nursing and stats, so Ill just take 2 easy filler courses to be full time because I need all the financial aid I can get. OK I will probably apply in Jan too just to be extra safe now that I think about it.
