Midwestern State Fall 2015

Published

Hey everyone! I've become interested in applying for MWSU for Fall 2015, but I have yet to see any threads about it so I decided to start one myself! Could anyone help me with their point system?

The hesi exam, is pretty basic. Make sure you know all the grammar rules though and learn all those vocabs in the book. It would help a lot; but mind you, not all the words were from the book. For the reading, make sure to know meaning of inference, meaning of words used in the passage and so on. You would be fine, just dont be.nervous and use your time wisely. We would all get in. I have a friend that is from tcc southeast campus applying also. Where would you be taking the hesi? Have you figured out a date? Would you be taking the hesi in tcc or tcu? Have you decided where yet? My advice would be to take it in January.

Yeah the housing department emailed me back and said "You will need to pay the deposit when you file the application. It is refundable if you do not attend MSU and let us know by a certain date, which depends on the semester involved, or if you do not get into the program. We do realize it sometimes takes longer to find out about acceptance into a program." So I will be making my deposit in March when I also apply to nursing program. And yes through the school they only have apartment with 3 bedrooms but you still get your own room and bathroom! Which is just fine with me, I cant share a bathroom that my biggest pet peeve is nasty bathrooms lol. An thank you for the encourgament, it means alot! I bought both of the books that you recommended so I'm about to be studying like crazy and I have be googling practice test. Oh well good hopefully we can all get in, that would be great having people from the same place so we have stuff in common already. Im taking the Hesi the very first week of feb on the 6th. That was the very first testing date TCC had and it gives me like a month to prepare. I lokoed into TCU I would only have a couple of weeks to prepare on top of the 2 week class I'm taking this wintermester, so I didnt want to overload my brain and bomb the test or my class.

Ya I totally forgot you had a wintermester class. Tcc is ok to take it then, I heard they give u a whole lot of scratch paper plus its even cheaper than tcu that I took it. I took it early coz wanted to get it out of the way and work like crazy this holiday and next year. Just study those two books religiously and you would do great, trust me its not that bad at all. Ya I would ask them when you can apply for housing for fall, so one can be guaranteed a spot. Its better to do it now and be safe, so you get your mind off housing. Ya I dont mind staying with good students, that have similar values like me too. I dont like drama at all, it gives me headache...lol..

Yeah that what really made me want to take it at TCC because it was only $37 and I am trying to conserve money on whatever possible lol. Well i work at a bank and sit down all day, so all I do while I am at work is study study study and then study more when I get home. So I think I will have plenty of time to cover everything and not be worried about passing the test at all. People have told me it is pretty easy, so that helped to calm my nerves. Yes that is true, I will email them back and ask that. Did you apply for admission into the university? Yeah that what I am scared of getting roommates that are complete opposite of me and not getting along. I hate drama as well, I pretty laid back person.. Nursing school is probably going to be enough of a headache, I don't need crazy roommates to add to it lol

I only need intro to chem and intro to sociology to apply but I'm taking intro to sociology in the summer does anyone have any suggestions on where to take it I was going to just Clep it

I don't know my points yet. I have all my classes done. I just finished introduction to computer. I have just the physical education class to take but I'll do that in the summer. Am taking pathophysiology and introduction to nursing this spring. Am applying to UT Tyler and Midwestern State University. I know I will get into both, then I decide. Good luck to us!

I'm nervous my points won't be high enough :/

Ya well I know I would definitely get in by Gods grace coz my points is 78 which is very high and my gpa is very high too. And mrs rudy told me am very competitive aswell.Am applying to Midwestern, texas a&m and maybe west texas a&m. Have u all taken the hesi exam?

You should be fine @ tiffaniebush. Just be hopeful, we will all get in

I'm nervous because I needed the points from intro to sociology but didn't have time to take it and I want to Clep it but have not had time to study for it
