Midwestern State Fall 2015

Hey everyone! I've become interested in applying for MWSU for Fall 2015, but I have yet to see any threads about it so I decided to start one myself! Could anyone help me with their point system?

Hello and welcome to allnurses!

hello I am also going to apply for Fall 2015. The point system is alittle tricky, I tried to add mine up but i didnt do it right. I contacted catherine rudy from the nursing department and she told me to send her my unofficial transcripts through email and give her a rundown of what classes I were taking next semester and she calculated my points up for me. I would call her and ask her if she can calculate your points up for you so you know if you will have a chance.

@keunnamonae no not yet! Will be in January. Have you?

No I haven't yet. Are you taking yours at midwestern? What are you using to study, are you using the Hesi A2 admission assessment review?

I had actually planned on taking it somewhere closer to where I live, so I wouldn't have to make that drive but now I want to take it there so that I can tour the campus as well

Yeah I was going to take it at TCC where I am currently at because I can take it sooner here. But I was thinking the same thing, I want to tour the campus so I might take it there. But I called them and they said you can only take it between Feb 15-March 31 when the application is open. So would have to wait to take the test until Feb

ohhh okay well I didn't know that. Im also applying to some ADN programs and their deadline is before MWSU so I'll be taking it here soon.

Yeah I will probably just take it here first and just tour the campus when I turn in my application in person

Finally theres a thread for fall 2015 applicants, so excited. Am currently a student at TCC, but this fall is my last semester there. I would be going to UTA for only the spring, to take pathophysiology, so I don't have to take it when accepted in the nursing program at midwestern for fall. I was going to apply for the spring of 2015, but I missed the deadline because I was really sick and hospitalized as a result couldn't apply or take the hesi. I Have taken all the classes Midwestern state university needs and would be applying for the fall of 2015. Before I got sick, I spoke to Catherine rudy and she told me I have 74 points by then. I would have over 80 points, when she adds this semester grades up for me and when I would be applying for the fall 2015. I have taken the hesi and I made a 90 on the maths section and 90 on the cumulative section for English. If you guys need help with the hesi, just ask I can help answer some questions.
