Starting up early! Anyone have any advice as to what to expect? What can we review prior to beginning the course?
I'm taking it during the summer and a lot of people have told me to look for something else but there isn't in terms of pre-reqs that I can take in order to apply to a couple of schools this fall!
So if anyone else is taking this class over the summer feel free to join in on the conversation!

Monday will be our last class and the final is on Wed. I have an A so far and I only need to make around a 50 on this test to come out with an A. Of course, I'm shooting much higher than a 50!!! We have a 2 wk break then start nursing classed Aug. 25th.
my micro class ended 5 weeks ago because it was only a 4 week class but i ended up with an A and was so excited...i start nursing 13 so i only have 13 days left...wow i didnt realize that until now it has really snuck up on me but ive got everything except for my shoes!
I pulled of a B! I am happy, and the class was finished Wednesday evening. Now I start Nursing school on Monday, no rest for the weary! But extremely nervous and excited!

I pulled an A out of my 1st quarter exam friday - about bacteriology, microscope, gram stain, organeles, diferent cell walls, bacterial growth and so forth
now we are growing our own colonies, and we already performed the streak plate friday, so tomorrow we can see the colonies that we have grown!

This is what i loved about microbiology. especially since he had use retrieve bacteria from the most common places, the doorknob, the bathroom stalls etc. it's really a fun process and since it is fun, it makes it easier to learn. i loved microbiology!
I know this post is a little old but I'm hoping someone sees this that has taken Micro! I'm in it right now, and I'm really struggling with the microbial genetics stuff. We're learning things like the different structures of DNA, translation, conjugation, plasmids, etc. Does anyone have any helpful tips for me to learn this stuff? Like websites or own experiences? Anything will be appreciated. THANKS!

I need to post some sites that I used to study for my tests. Some of the questions were the exact same questions on the test!
