Who is Taking Micro this summer? Here is a thread that we can all refer to for support. If you have any links to helpful websites please feel free to add them.

What text book is everyone using? At my school we use 'Microbiology-A Human Perspective'.

Well we went through 1 Chapter in lecture, our first test is on Tues, on 3 chapters.

In lab we did the first 3 exercises and looked at all kind of cool slides. First quiz is tomorrow. We have a quiz every single lab (2x'sweek).

Its really going to be a lot of work but I have an awesome instructor.

I will be taking Micro and Medical Terminology this summer, with the latter online. I don't know what books will be used since they will be using a new textbook this semester.

i just finished my microbiology on friday and got 98. hehehehhe. i totaly aced the exam

I am taking Micro this summer -- it's a 7-week course at the community college near my house. The book we're using is Foundations in Microbiology (5th Edition) by Kathleen Park Talaro. I am also taking A&P I at the same time and have been told I'm crazy, but so far I'm doing great. 1 week down, 6 to go. =D First quiz is on Wednesday, the 31st.

I'm taking micro right now and using the tortura, funke and case book. Micro is not that bad, its really interesting. I think its better than ANP....

I am actually enjoying Micro, its really interesting. I have a great professor too, so that makes it even better. I thought that it was going to suck but it doesn't. It's way more interesting then A&P and so far has been a lot easier too.

Well... lets see ermmm... I have my first test on Monday it will cover 4 chapters. I feel like I'm soo far behind already, I'm sure lots can relate to that. I am "kind of" getting it, well, I think I am anyway. We shall soon see ...... soon enough.

I had a meeting with the Head Dean of Nursing yesterday. She gave me a pack telling a number of things one of the things is a list of items we need to purchase. I know it is alot of things to have to buy but to me that is so exciting that I am almost ready to start.

I found a website that I am going to purchase alot of the items that are on my list from. I thought they are really reasonable on some of their supplies and thought someone else might be interested. Here is the site.

I started mico on tuesday and I had my first lab today and it is alot more involved and alot more fun that the a&p labs are. Lecture is going pretty good and we are having our first test late next week. Anyway good luck to all!

hi everyone!! i also am taking micro this summer. i start june 6. my book is tutora/funke/case. i heard that i'm crazy for doing it in the summer but i don't want it the same time as my 1st nursing semester. i know my teacher and she's real nice. i hope everyone passes.
