*Microbiology-Summer 2006*

Hey Michelle, I am taking Micro through the summer too - what are we thinking?!! I will be using "Microbiology - An Introduction" by Tortora/Funke/Case. I'll keep an eye on this thread for sure!

Princess, who are you taking? I took Monroe at Norfolk campus, she is DA BOMB!!!!!!!

My 6-week summer session starts May 22. We are using "Foundations of Microbiology" by Kathleen Talaro.

Count me in!!! Micro is 5/22-6/22. :chair: I'm pretty scared. I heard such mixed things about this class, but I need to get it done before clinicals start in the Fall. Not sure of the book yet--the college hasn't offically put up there summer book list. You can bet I'll be here to cry w/ you guys!! Mel

I'm taking Micro this summer, and I'm scared to death. The instructor for this program is ruff to say the least. The book we're using is "Foundations in Microbiology" 5th edition (Kathleen Talaro). My class starts 6/6 - 8/3. Wish it were over

I am with ya! Classes for me start 5/22 and are 8 weeks long, 2 days a week. I hear my teacher is awesome and it is an easy "A" as long as you do the work. I hope this rumor is true! I need a light summer after this semester and I have to get a summer job.

The instructor I have is noted to fail at least 1/2 or more students. I think he gets a power trip from it. Wish me luck!!!!

I start May 22. I think I'm using the same book as Yet2bRN.

I am going to take an 8 week microbiology class, too. We are using Nester's book.

I've already finished first semester of my nursing program (last test is on Monday).

Now I need to make A in micro to keep my GPA high. :uhoh21:

I am also taking Micro this summer. It starts June 5 and ends July 27. The book I will be using is Alcamo's Fundamentals of Microbiology. Good luck everyone!! I have to retake this class because it has been over 5 years since I last took it which was in 1998. I didn't want to take it during 2nd semester of nursing school so I am being crazy and taking it in the summer! lol

I start Med Micro May 30th and end in July a few days after my nursing program starts. I got special permission to be a few days late on my pre-req. I'm not sure of my book yet, but I'll be around.

I am taking Professor Horeth at the Beach campus. I had him last fall for Human Bio. He was awesome.
