What text book is everyone using? At my school we use 'Microbiology-A Human Perspective'.

Today is my last day for lab. I am doing better in lecture than in Lab. I have a B average in Lab and an A in lecture. I have one more test tonight for lab and I get back my take home exam result. Hopefully, my average may go up in lab. My last day of lecture is Wednesday. Thank God

Had my first test yesterday. It was hard. 70 questions, multiple choice. He is one of those that every answer has all of the above and just A&B for answers D and E. It gets so confusing, I hate those.

I wish I were almost done like some of you. I have to go until August 3 :o

I know what you mean with multiple choices. My professor mostly gives us short answer, which I like better. She also gives essays. Last test we had 11 multiple choice questions. The questions were straight forward. I got one wrong. Before you know it, August will be here. I am glad I am almost over. When I finished A&P2, I only had a few days off before I started Micrp, so I am looking forward to go on vacation.

Wow, lots of you have already taken a test. I am in my second week and so far nothing. Actually the professor told us last night that out first exam will be a week from this Wednesday. At that point we will be in our 4th week with only 2 weeks to go. It's a bit weird how he is spacing out the exams. Oh well.

All Micro instructors seem to be the same. . .TOUGH. . . Mine too, he gives the "all of the above" and "none of the above" multiple choice answers. It is alot of critical thinking, but that is what "learning" is all about. IT WILL PAY OFF IN THE END! (that's what I keep telling myself) Hang in there!

I'm taking Microbiology this summer myself, its 6 weeks long and we're doing a chapter a day. My advice is to everyone is to pace yourself. There's A LOT of information to know. I'm honestly scared.

microbiology students:

don't give up!

life is a miracle you know;

our minds can't comprehend

what god has planned for each of us

or when our time will end.

we travel to and from each day

while trying to survive.

we tell our children god is great

and jesus was alive.

we ask ourselves the question

when we have time to rest,

what is humanity about

and what is our major quest.

we have our family history

that goes back through the years.

we know the names of all of them

and how they conquered fears.

we only have a short time

to spend upon this earth.

we want to make the best of it

and live for all its worth.

i guess we're not to understand

until our time has come,

the mysteries of human life

and why it ends for some.

we pray to god for all we need

and honor our husband or wife.

we thank him for the perfect gift,

the miracle of life.

Hey to all

Good luck to all of you this summer with Micro, Just from reading the post I see what I will be dealing with in the fall, just starting out, have not been to school in a long while, but really excited.

We just got a open book, take home test for lecture. My instructor wanted us to be able to concentrate on out midterm lab practical that's coming up on Tues. Isn't that nice. The test will still be hard but at least I know it will be able to find all the answers, eventually. It wont be an easy A but hopefully it will be an A.
