Microbiology: Spring 2010

Hello. Anyone out there taking Micro this semester? I thought I would start a thread for us to talk and discuss microbiology for the semester. I am looking forward to it.

What textbook are you going to be using? I am using Microbiology: With Diseases by Taxonomy - Robert Bauman. I am picking it up tomorrow.

I think it will be a great semester!

Thanks for starting this thread. I too am taking micro, we don't start until the 18th and i cannot wait! Also, thanks for the websites, i think they will help alot once class gets going.

Hopefully Micro isn't as tough as Chemistry, which was tough.

Benjamin Cummings' Microbiology Animations: This site contains interactive flash animations. Each flash slide has a couple numbers on the top right that continue the flash animation for that topic. Enjoy!

I am taking Microbiology this semester along with Anatomy & Physiology II and Nutrition. Our Microbiology textbook is Microbiology: An Introduction by Tortora. The instructor is supposed to be really good. I will definitely see if the ratings are true.:)

I started Micro this week! I really like my teacher! My book is microbiology and introduction by tortora, funke and case. I can't wait to really start learning this stuff!

Yay!!! I am so glad that someone started a blog about Micro!!! I am sooooo nervous about taking it because I have always heard horror stories about it! I am taking it at TWU in Denton, TX. Maybe we can all help each other through it. Does anyone know if it would be feasible for me to take Micro and Chem at the same time?

I am also taking micro. the book we are using is Foundations in Microbiology by Kathleen Park Talaro I am so nervous because I studied very hard in A&P and could not get an A. Joining this thread hopefully will help a lot.We can do it!
