:welcome: Gonna try to stick this one!!! Heres to a wonderful semester for all us MBers :):welcome:

My schedule is:

Micro - Mon/Wed, 5:35-8:25pm

A&P 2 - Tues/Thur, 5:35-8:25pm

Statistics - online

Classes start 1/16 at Eastfield College.

That's similar to my schedule:

A&P I - Mon/Wed 5:30-8:50

Micro - Tues/Thur 5:30-8:50

Yuck! But it has to be done before Fall 2007!

i'm taking micro this quarter; also a&p ii, nutrition, and english 101. 2 lab sciences, so it's almost like i have 6 classes. i had my first micro class yesterday and i'm going to really like it. we're trying to get bacteria to grow. i love all of my instructors, too. busy quarter, but i'll make it!

hey.. its nice to hear that everybody is getting excited to have microbio =)

tonight when i am trying to register some of my courses for fall 07... for my school, i have to take apii, microbio together in this semester.. but since all of these together will just count 7.5 credits (apii - 4.5 and micro - 3 credits)... so i have to take another 2 courses just to be able to declare myself as a full time student...

personally, i really like nutrition and i would want to have a nutrition class... do you think it is a good idea to have like 3 science courses + one more regular course in one semester? i am pretty okay w/ sciences, but i have to be honest, they are hard as heck!!

last semester i took ap i, organic chem, literature class and one psy course.. it was really pain in the butt to have these courses all together... so i am debating.. >

any suggestion? thanks

I took A&P II and Micro with Dev psy and gen psy last semister. Micro is not nearly as hard as everyone tries to make it sound I got a 103%. Just keep your head down and say the names of the bugs out loud to yourself (it helps to remember them) just keep your facts straight, you will be amazed how may different things strep and staph cause. I found it more interesting than hard, oh and you will start washing your hands alot more! lol

I am also in Microbiology for the Spring Semester!

I will start next week and I'm a little frightened because it'll be my first time actually going to the school since my daughter has been born. I have been able to get away with doing online courses since she was born in 2005, but now is the time to actually begin the venture back!

Tuesday & Thursday: 4:30 - 7:20 w/ a 10 minute break. I really like A&P and I hope I will like this!! Kind of excited to go back - it'll be easier to concentrate in a class, that's for sure!! No little 15 month olds running around and a husband who is no where to be found! ;)

i wanna to join the 'club' yep, that's right i am also taking microbiology this spring! i am a little nervous.....i hope everything goes well. anywho - - - i am excited about having a support system here! can't wait till class begins - - - january 16,2007.

Hello All!

I will be starting Micro in February when my first semester of NS starts. I'm so excited. I was a little nervous about the course until reading some of your "gung ho" responses. Everyone on this thread seems excited about starting it or have had it and did got through it so I think I'll get through it too. Best of luck to all and I'll be checkin in from time to time to see how everyone's doing.

I start next week, too. I've been doing all my courses online and this will be my first "in person" class. I'm also doing Sociology, Children's Literature, and Ethics. This is my last ADN pre-req and I've been working on my BSN stuff while I waited. The state recently enforced a GPA requirement and 350 people fell off the waitlist in front of me. Now it looks like I will start NS in the fall, so I have to get on the stick and take this class. I had wanted to wait until next fall so my middle child would be in first grade, but I can't really say no. So this will be a night class. I think it will be much easier to have a teacher in person so I can raise my hand the minute I don't understand something. Nice to meet you all!

Hi all!

I will be in Microbiology and the lab Spring 2007 as well! I just got my textbook and EEK! Class starts in one week, and I am getting nervous already! I haven't taken a science class in years, and it is a little nerve-racking. I know that I can do it, but it is intimidating! I hope we can all help each other. Best of luck to all!

I started my Micro tonight. The teacher was really nice but she said "I know I have a reputation as being a very difficult teacher. I am but I try to help you as much as I can". Which of course made everyone a bit nervous. lol.

I am with you. My micro class started today, but I am taking it online. My last pre-req as well.

Count me in. It's my last pre-req...the one class I put off. Looking forward to going through it with you all this semester. What text are you all using...I didn't read all the threads so sorry if you already got to that. I am using Black,6thedition, microbiology principles and exploration.
