Best of luck to you. I am sure you can do it, but I think I would be feeling the same way. Nursing is demanding enough without another class added on in there.
Think posistive.

I'm taking Microbiology. I really don't know what to expect with this class. Last semester i had anatomy and i dropped that bc the teacher doesn't know how to teach it. I heard somewhere that Dr. Cornell (my anatomy teacher) transferred from a medical school. I can believe it bc he doesn't know how to make students understand him. But anyhow, I'm nervous about this course. I'm sure ill do fine though.

I took Stats and didn't think it was too bad. I am pretty good at math though (not a genius , but math isn't hard for me). I know some people had problems passing the class, but I don't know if they studied that much (or maybe they aren't that good at math). We didn't need any specific kind of calculator. Just make sure you don't forget it on test day! I did that once, but luckily DH didn't work too far from my school. I would have had to go buy one. Good luck!

Thanx for the encouragement :yelclap:

I'm reading my nursing texts for this semester and I'm finding I'm glad I took micro last semester. It's kind of nice to actually recognize the names of the bugs they're talking about and remember something about them. Feels like I actually learned something.

Just popping in to wish you all a great experience in Micro! I had it a couple of semesters ago and loved it. My professor was wonderful and had a great sense of humor. She was also very paranoid about germs. Anyone who so much as sneezed had to sit in the back of the class, hehe!
Enjoy and good luck!

WoooHooo!
I'm taking Micro (with lab) this spring. Throw that in with AP II (with lab), Human Growth & Dev. and I have a busy schedule. I am looking forward to this class. I'm thinking it will be fascinating.
Wish everybody luck!

Hey.. its nice to hear that everybody is getting excited to have microbio =)
Tonight when i am trying to register some of my courses for Fall 07... for my school, i have to take APII, Microbio together in this semester.. but since all of these together will just count 7.5 credits (APII - 4.5 and Micro - 3 credits)... so i have to take another 2 courses just to be able to declare myself as a full time student...
personally, i really like nutrition and i would want to have a nutrition class... do you think it is a good idea to have like 3 science courses + one more regular course in one semester? I am pretty okay w/ sciences, but i have to be honest, they are hard as heck!!
last semester i took AP I, Organic Chem, literature class and one psy course.. it was really pain in the butt to have these courses all together... so i am debating.. >
any suggestion? thanks

As much as I loved Nutrition, it went pretty deep. It wasnt any easy course. I took it with A&P 2 and the both of them kept me pretty busy. If you have had Chemistry already. You know more of what you can do though. If you have no kids, family, etc. needing your attention, you might can do it. Good luck.
