Just bought my micro book today, so thought we needed to have a thread.
Classes start August 22. When do yours start?
What text are you using? We're using Tortora.
And are you taking lab too? Our lab is worth 2 credits, and I've heard with the amount of work you need to do, it should be more.

I went into the final with an 88% (not including the paper we had to write for our unknown because she hadn't graded them yet) I consider it pretty dang good since I really never studied. :chair:.
Our final was 125 questions with three extra credit. I was the first person out of the room.
Congrats Boonersmom! And champagne to boot??!!! I am still bitting my nails waiting for my grade from my final. Now that it is Saturday, I don't figure I'll see it until Monday. :angryfire
I went to the bookstore and bought most of my books. Pharm won't be in until January, but that $135 Fundamentals book will keep me busy for the Christmas break:rotfl: ! They required us to purchase a book on APA format. This thing is a few hundred pages. Why? Give me one or two pages on margins, footnotes, etc. and I would be good to go. I'm sure it's just like my Fundamentals book...it sure says a lot, but I feel like I keep reading the same thing, over and over. They just change the way they say it. That is so annoying! Of course, I guess they have to change a few paragraphs, so they can issue the new edition:rotfl: !
What this has to do with Micro, I haven't the foggiest, but I'm bored, so I am typing away.

Good for you guys and gals!!! Awesome job!
I'm STILL waiting for my final results. It was a NIGHTMARE. Everyone was panicking about it, including me. Results were supposed to be posted on Friday, but as of tonight, they still aren't on Blackboard. I'm going nuts now thinking I failed. We had a take-home portion that I know I probably aced, but the in-class exam was harder than anything I've ever done - nursing exams included! This prof writes such ambiguous questions, it's very hard to figure out what she wants. She does expect us to act like physicians, and come up with the correct dx for things.
Anyway, I'm glad to be done, and am hoping that I don't have to take it over for a B! The lab final was so hard, that she ended up grading it on a curve.
Well...finally! I checked for my grade just now, figuring it would be way to early (8am), but there it was!! I only missed 3 questions on the final!! 144/150 Don't know how I pulled that off! I didn't study until the day of the final and it was cumulative.
So, I ended up with a 97%! I was down 20pts in lecture and 3 pts in lab from a perfect score!
I am so thrilled to have it done and I will forever relish this A. For now it is on to Nursing School and I need to pysch myself out for B's and C's. I have gotten nothing but A's in all my classes so this new grading system will freak me out. I know it isn't about the grade (unless it's a C-!!), but dang, it's gonna bite to not get those A's anymore. Believe me, I will still try, but I'm trying to reprogram my brain into not worrying about getting the A's.
Bring it on!!!!!!!!
