Microbiology - Fall 2008

Published

Hi ya'll! Anybody taking Micro this coming fall semester and want to form a study group? I did this for A&P I and II and it helped tremendously! I'm taking it along with Chem 1151 (Survey of Chem). Thanks!

Oops, fixing a double post, forgot to hit the "quote" button!

Take my hand...sounds like we have the same test Monday!:uhoh3: My teacher has waited 7 weeks to give her first lecture test. I'm so sorry that happend to you on the chem test!!! Good thoughts for weekend studying.

:hpygrp:

Thank you and good luck on your test!!! I'll send good thoughts your way and hopefully we'll both do great!:D

Good luck on everyone's upcoming tests! I took a lab practical yesterday and think I did well *hopefully*. My test thankfully didn't have any math questions. Whew! Tuesday is our 2nd lecture test so I'm going to study hard and hopefully do better. This exam will cover metabolism, genetics, and genetic engineering. Wish me luck!!!

Well, I just took our latest micro exam omline, and got a 95...not sure if that included the bonus points, which I imagine will have to actually be graded by the professor. I'm happy again!:yeah:

Now I ONLY have three tests this coming week. That's pretty sad when you look forward to having three tests in one week, as opposed to five or six. But I know there's more where that came from in nursing school, so I just suck it up and smile!

Good luck to all of you on your tests, too!

We had our first lab practical and lecture exam this past week and I have to wait until next week to find out my grade. It's torture. I feel like I did well. I'm really enjoying the class so far, and my teacher is awesome :)

Hi, all. Our class started on 9/23...two days lecture and two lab, plus an online component. It's like Microbiology is looming all the time! Lecturer has a great sense of humor, but lab instructor scares people and yells. It's sink or swim in there...very little direction. Someone dropped a test tube w/E. coli on the floor -- grabbed the tube by the cap and it came right off. Glass and cooties everywhere. I thought she was going to put us all in Time Out. Our first lab test is Wed. I haven't had a college test in quite awhile! I never thought science was my thing, but geez, after doing Gram stains and seeing those guys in the microscope the other day, I loved it. But they will always be cooties to me. Makes them less scary.

Cooties.... LOL!!!!!:yeah:

I'm open to a study group. No one in my class wants to form a study group. Same thing happened in A&P I and II, of course I was one of the few in each course to pass. Both classes started out with about 40 students and ended the semester with only 12 - 15, of those only about 8 passed, 6 of the 8 passed with a "C". I believe a study group will make it easier to earn a good grade.

What do I need to do to get in on the study group?

We get our test grades back from last week tonight, I'm nervous and excited!
