Hi ya'll! Anybody taking Micro this coming fall semester and want to form a study group? I did this for A&P I and II and it helped tremendously! I'm taking it along with Chem 1151 (Survey of Chem). Thanks!
Has anyone else gotten a test and gone blank! All of the studying gone! I recognized the words but the answers where GONE! I was so prepared and ....well I just bombed it. My instructor handed out the exam and I looked at it and wham....the answers were gone. It happened to me a few years ago on a Trig test and now again.....Yikessss
I was sick!
YES - has happened to me several times. its the worst feeling in the world. Usually I'll just start reading over the questions, dont know it.... move to the next one.... dont know it... move to the next one... eventually i'll come across a question and I know the answer. Then its like a snowball from there. I'm sure its because I am so anxious in the beginning and once I find that I do know one of the answers it gives me a little more confidence and I calm down. The first micro test, my hands were literally shaking as I was filling in those little bubbles.
I have definitely blanked out on a test before! Especially for math classes...and I'm really afraid it's going to happen during my chem test tonight. I'm sorry that happened to you!!! I'm sure you did better than you thought! *Hugs*
Good luck on your test tonight!! It won't happen..I'm sure of it!!!!! I was really disappointed in myself and hope it never happens again. :uhoh21:
I had my practical last night and I think it went pretty well, although I won't get my grade backuntil Monday night. I went up before the class started to get some more microscope time, and boy, was I glad I did! We had taken some photos of the slides through the occular, but they look totally different. So a lot of the people who relied just on the photos they took and didn't take advantage of the opportunity to go up and have another look before class were really bummed out. I choked a little on a couple of math questions, but overall, I felt really good about it!

My lab practical is on Monday. Thats a good plan to check out the slides again before class. I'll be doing that! What kind of math did you have?
I definitely blanked out on my chem test twice last night...it took me 20 minutes to balance 1 equation. I'm battling a horrible sinus infection so I think my brain is just not working properly:banghead:. I have a huge micro test on Monday, it's over microbial genetics, taxonomy, prokaryotes, & eukaryotes (focusing mostly on the pathogens in the last 2 categories). I like most of what we've learned so far, but those enzymes for the DNA & RNA drive me bonkers!!!
Man, I bombed my micro lab test yesterday! I made a 100 on the last one, and a 90 on the one before, and I think I made a 69 on this one. It wasn't hard...I just thought that the Entamoeba histolytica specimen was Trichomonas lady partslis, and so I messed up the next two questions, which were about the amoeba. So there went about 1/3 of the test right there. I think I misspelled Giardia too, so there's another point or so. I think I'm just a little burned out. I had 6 tests just this week! I studied and everything, so I'm really disappointed. Oh well...hopefully I will do better next week on the test over fungi.
Just had to vent...

Hey PreRN Katie, We must think alike cause I was thinking EXACTLY about the pipe cleaners and peritrichous flagella. That's funny.
Yes, she wants us to be creative, the more so the better. If you think of any other ideas, send them my way!
