Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Published

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

i once was where you all are and i wish you all the best of luck. I am in the full- time generic program and i have gotten accepted into all 3 programs. full time, part time and accelerated!!!

I must say it has been a journey!! IN A MONTH an a few weeks i will be done with my first semester of nursing school.... don't kill yourself too much about your shots. As long as they are in before clinicals you are all set!

Walgreens has all the vaccines for cheap & if you have insurance you pay nothing ;-).

Hello cutiejo25

I sent you an email )

The schedules they set are so inconvenient for us...I couldn't register any of boot camp until I get a permission letter from my professor:(

But... Oscar, you are totally right! It is worth it!

Yes U have to get one of those yellow cards (override class) get it signed by the professor and bring it to admissions then they can get register U for the boot camp. Il do that tomorrow I just wanna get everything done real soon )-

I don't know who was the "genius" that decided to put all the bootcamps during the weekdays, and also during the finals week! I remember last semester they at least had one session on a weekend, you know for those people that work or have classes during the week. The current situation of having to ask every professor for an override is ridiculous!!

Well, the struggle is real. I'm taking 5 classes and no matter what arrangement there was always one of them overlapping with the boot camp I had to go through the process already. Simply genius as you said.

I went to admission, they told me there is no form need to sign. All i need is to get a note/letter from professor.

Sorry to get into this conversation when it was directed towards Yuremma. In any case, I believe the next batch of acceptance e-mails will be going out if not Friday hopefully early next week. They probably have to wait and see which students choose which programs/campus and then depending on availability they would send the next batch accordingly.

I am sorta bummed out because I was not aware that we can apply to more than one program, so my chances are even less :-\ Just have to keep waiting, hoping and praying.

That's all I'm doing as well. Hoping and praying. part of me is faithful that has a spot has to open but then at times I just feel bummed out. What keeps me going is the fact that I have not received a rejection letter! until then, all those who haven't received an offer for admission still have a chance!

Does anyone know how many people are accepted into each program including Homestead Campus

There are 50 open spots in class registration, so most likely 50 max
