Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

Hi oscararnold. In looking at the American Data Bank account, it looks like we definitely need to submit the background check too. Apparentlyl the school has the results though. Really makes no sense that MDC gets the results, but we have to go and pick them up and then upload them. If I don't get an email tomorrow I will call MDC on Monday.

Can you pick it up from any Campus or does it have to be the Medical Campus

It Is only available in the dean's office at medical campus.

Hello everyone so glad I found this page !!! I was wondering if anyone knows the range of GPA's that have already received acceptance emails? and if they are truly sending email by batches does anyone know the GPA ranges for them ? thanks again !!

So far they have only sent out emails for fulltime and part time generic with GPA 4.0-3.7 the second batch should be from 3.6-3.0 I'm not sure if they will send out a third batch because of the large number of applicants and the limited amount of space. :shy:

Ohhh, and I really thought it was 7 days BEFORE orientation... this is much better!

Most likely. Deadline to accept the spot for those who got the letter last week was today. So they will probably send out letters Monday to fill the empty spots they have

Eru did they send U the confirmation email stating your fingerprints were ready? I did mine like tuesday and haven't got any response yet; my friend, who went two hours later the same day, got hers .... How long dod it take for U ? I'm just wondering ..

I can't believe that we have to pay 75 bucks for the boot camp, with all that money that we have to spend already, I'm going to end up bankrupted before January :banghead:

Exactly! When I went to register the person in the front desk was surprised we have to pay for the boot camp ; she told me they didn't charge for it in previous years - I guess this is new ?

It's not about being cheap it's just that most of us will have to leave our jobs when we start the program and need to have some money saved lol
