Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

Quick question guys, how do you all know the items we have to buy such as the nursing bag and etc. Is this posted somewhere?

They are going to give you a book list...etc during orientation...someone you can go to the book store at medical campus to get the list

Hi Xxlita,

I meant the orientation on 11/20 (or 21 for accelerated), the 2-day boot camp, and then the testing session on 12/16. So really 3 events, but 4 full days in total. I really don't know how to do this without getting in major trouble at work. Just was wondering if anyone else has a similar problem with all this. I heard in prior semesters they offered some of the events on weekends, but obviously not this time...

It's only one day for the boot camp for a total of three events to attend. It says you should pick ONE of three options for the boot camp plus the other two events that already have a set date ) at least for the generic FT; I believe it's the same for the accelerated ..

I am guessing they got my results but forgot to email me . It's been a week already. Thanks for letting me know ) I will probably call or go tomorrow ; I live very close to the medical campus .

Oh no! It's been 3 days already I think they didn't send it to the right email address. My friend got it the next day too. I'm coming monday! Thanks for sharing ! I hope it's all good .

Oscar you should just go by the deans office and ask for it. Probably is in there.

Oh that's right ) it's really two days for the boot camp ! I'll be missing lots of classes and have to ask for some time off at work too ? that's not good (

I called Miami Dade. Still vague answers. Next round of e-mails in 1-2 weeks is the response I'm still getting :crying2:.
