Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Updated:   Published

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

Hey guys. I have some questions.

Has anyone purchased their scrubs?

And do we get to choose where we do clinicals or its assigned to us?

You are the 66*th post. May God bless you.

Hey did anyone get accepted to the Accelerated option program ?

You get to choose your clinical site from a list of places. The good ones go away fast.

Wait before classes are about to start to purchase your scrubs. The store across the parking lot has the scrubs at a cheaper price.

Thanks. I'm in accelerated program too. I'm expecting it to go really fast. That's why I was inquiring about the books.

Everyone says good clinicals go fast. What are the good clinicals and what are the bad ones

Also when do you pick them?

You pick them on orientation.

Is subjective... But it usually means nicer hospital/facility; proximity to your house; schedule; etc.

Should I be worried at the fact that I still haven't received the admission email? Is anyone out there in the same situation? Does that mean I am not accepted? I mean... I haven't even received any denied letters either.

Call the school and ask them if they send the second bash of emails already we had until the 27 to denied or accept our seats

I called medical campus and they said that they will sent the second bash of emails next week so there is hope guys hang in there, keep us posted and good luck
