Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Updated:   Published

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

Hey I wanted to get a head start on the books needed for spring 2016 does anyone know?

Umm we haven't even gone to orrintation yet let alone pick our classes lets take things one step at a time

Has anyone done their titters yet ?

I will finish with the titters next monday. I finished all the other stuff already

Their was a post earlier in the thread with the textbook names. I'm not exactly sure these are the books, but I think this was what was suggested. I bought cheap used ones for the first two. I'm in the accelerated program and talked to someone the other day and they said the program went pretty fast. I dont think it would be a bad idea to read ahead a little. Good luck!

Does anyone know if we have to make an appointment for the MDC health clinic? Because when I called the Miami rescue center to make an appointment he said they only do walk ins

It's better to make an appt. they see walk ins after they see people with appts. Try to do that asap. The whole process takes about 2 weeks more or less.

I believe they changed the books for the incoming students. Wait for orientation, they will give you a book list.

Hello everyone. Make sure when you are submitting those documents to complio that it has your name on the doc. I submitted the flu shot one from MDC Wellness Clinic and it got rejected because my name was not on the document.
