Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Updated:   Published

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

You guys... I haven't received any email yet. Do you know if they're still sending out admission letters? Or I am just out of luck right now....? :( I'm so worried. This is my third time applying at MDC. I'm going to be so devastated....

What is your science gpa and hesi score??

3.0 science GPA and 78% HESI

You should get in by the second round cause your gpa isn't bad and you have a good hesi score did you call the school

No should I...?

Hey guys. I just received an email from Miami dade saying that I was good to go with the background check. I need to go pick it up at the school. That's at the medical campus right?

Hey I haven't received an email yet either and my science gpa is a 3.5 and on the hesi I got a 72%

Yes, you have to pick it up at the Dean of students in the medical campus. I think they are sending the letters out based on you hesi score. I don't think they are doing it by goa

I just did the CPR/BLS class at medical campus, it says it's a 6 hour class but it ended up only taking 3 hours to get everything so that's probably what you should look forward to for those taking the class tomorrow at Kendall campus, fun and easy class !😊

Does the background check and fingerprint process take long ?

I did fingerprints Wednesday and I received and email today that are ready to pick up at mdc. For those who have not received and acceptance email we have until the 27 to respond so I think they will sent the 2 bash the 28 don't loose hope and keep us posted

I did mine yesterday and I received the email this morning that it was ready for pick up at the school.

I just want to have all my stuff done already.
