Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Updated:   Published

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

@_melz: I just sent it to you. Let me know if you receive it.

Hey guys! Do you know if we need the titters for MMR and Varicella? Cause when I contacted my doctor they told me that I didn't need them since I already had the 2 vaccines for MMR and 2 for Varicella and that was considered immune based on the CDC guidelines

@hope5 & melz: thats great! Any time!

For the backgroung check I only have the option of Going to finger print technologies. How do you get the school option?

The guy at the fingerprint place told me that I will get an email confirmation and that they will send the official results to the school. We are supposed to upload the email confirmation according to him.

Thanks. Also where are you getting your immunizations/blood titers? Have you found a place that does it at a good price?

Ok guys Update! Once the background check is completed you have to go pickup the papers to be submitted! Just went to get mine. For those of you that were not Bon here but became citizens, you are probably going to need the passport.

Hi everyone I have been following for a while and have been accepted as Bridge Full Time. What a great feeling to get that email. Does anyone know, when uploading the documents for your shots do you get a results sheet from the doctor or just upload his sign off on the student health record?

I just got mine done and they told me they sent it to MDC and we had to pick it up from MDC and then upload it into complio. and I only needed my ID as identification.

The vaccines are good for 10 years.

I got an email from MDC asking me to call them to "discuss" my background check results. It was because they needed my proof of citizenship; that's why I said that if you were not born here and became a citizen they could ask for your passport.

I took a cna course at mdc two and a half year ago, so I already did these steps. Do I have to do them again? In case someone has any idea let me know please
