Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Updated:   Published

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

I just registered for the cpr class at Dade, didn't have to submit an app for it though... Should be able to do it on your mymdc account, comes out to $79 for the 6 hour class

Do we need a book for the cpr class?

I completed my background and fingerprint and it's ready for pick up.. Tomorrow am doing all of the immunization shots

You need more than the immunizations! You need a blood sample too to identify the antibodies.

I going to registered at dade for the friday class too I will see you there

They send the results to the background to school I think

Im going to the Saturday class (10/24/2015) Anyone going to that one?

Is anyone here accepted into the accelerated program? I'm thinking of starting a Facebook group. It would probably be easier to communicate !

Yea The titers I know... Miami dade have the whole package for 225 which am doing that covers all the requirements that I need

And you have to pick it up the paper to scan it in complio

Anyone know where to find immunizations/titers for a reasonable price? Where are you getting yours done?

Hi guys!! I did my cpr today and I got my card the same day. It was part of it online and then I went to the center to do 1 hour of the skill section. If any of you are interested it's called miamicpr.net, also, I wanted to ask you guys, what would be acceptable documentation for the flu shot and ppd?? My doctor just gave me a yellow card that says florida department of health immunization record?? I'm worried that it's not going to be enough for them?? Help!!
