I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).
Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ?? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

congratulations to the ones that have gotten accepted. I got accepted to both the generic and accelerated options. I have a bachelors in Biology and I took pharmacology already. However, I don't know if pharm nursing is the same class. I have never taken 21 credits in a semester (accelerated). I need some guidance in deciding which path I should take ?
In my opinion, take the generic course. I have several friends that started off in accelerated and ended up switching over to full time after 2 semesters because that pathway is just insane. When one of them got to Pharm, 95% of her class failed the class. That was when she and a couple of her friends switched to full time and are doing just fine.
Pharm is a tough subject and having to learn like 12 chapters in a week cause you have a test the next week is not fun at all, nor I think is it conducive to proper learning. You basically are just cramming the entire time and hope to stay afloat. Remember if you fail three classes total you are out of the program and also if you fail the same class twice you are out of the program. That kind of pressure sucks imo so save yourself the headache and future anxiety medication prescriptions and go generic ?
Hey everyone! if anyone is going to the CPR class at Kendall campus this Saturday 10/24 I found the book online. You can get off the pirate bay. It's a torrent but I downloaded it and it works just fine. It's an e-book. If anyone needs it I can e-mail it to you guys and then you can put it on your ipad or something! ?
Pick up the background check results where? I got my fingers print taken today they told me it would be sent to MDC, do I have to go the school and obtain a copy or do I have to go to the same location where I got my forger prints taken to obtain the record.
