I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).
Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ?? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

OH MY GOD you guys!! I just got my acceptance letter today! I AM SO HAPPY!!
So I applied to MDC and Broward college. I got the acceptance letter from BC back in September. Not knowing if I was going to get accepted into MDC, I followed through all the BC procedure to keep my seat. I did all my background check, drug screen, CEU courses, and physical exams for that school. But now that I finally got the letter from MDC, I am beyond happy because I initially wanted to attend here :))) Now I have so much to catch up since most of you guys got the acceptance letter wayyyyy before me.
How far are you guys into getting all the requirements done?

I'm almost done with all of my requirements. I just need my other tb.

You have to upload them on the portfolio online or something like that right ?
I'm at medical campus clinic right now to get the blood work and tests done, I'm hearing that it takes about two weeks for all the papers to get to me so I'm glad I'm getting to it now since my orientation is Nov. 13, pretty much right around the corner.. Once I'm done with that I'll be done with all the requirements for orientation
For those who haven't done their blood work and tests and are planning to do it at medical campus definitely try to make an appt before you go, I'm here now as a walk-in which is fine since I have time to wait but for those who are in a rush or have places to be, make sure to make the appt!
Omg guys did you hear the news dade medical college was closed and 2000 students are devastated with the new they don't know what is going to happen with them now
