Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Updated:   Published

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

Yes, take it easy

Omg I remember reading here that someone was planning on going to Dade medical eek! Thank goodness that crooked school closed. I was just reading about it. They apparently were in cahoots with politicians and they passed a weird law saying it was okay for physical therapist assistants to work unaccredited but really federal law prohibits unaccredited individuals from cashing in on medicaid and medicare patients, which is like a huge portion of florida. The department of education basically dropped in on them and did and inspection and immediately told them to close their asociate's nursing program.

@ hope5 oh sorry i mis-read what you wrote & freaked out lol. I had a friend call me thinking it was miami dade college i was like what?!

but thats sad for the students that were misinformed and theyre stuck with no accreditation and debt.

I think in this cases the government give them a pardon for the debt but the time and disappointed poor people. When I was thinking going to the school of nursing I went there first but It was a lot of money I think that be poor save me

Hi all. I just received my acceptance letter on October 30. I couldn't believe it. I'm so excited!!!! I almost gave up. I went the next day to reserved my seat. My appointment for fingerprint is tomorrow. Wednesday is my apt. for vaccinations. Any advice would be appreciated.

Congratulations!!!Which was your gpa and hesi score?

Congrats. Get your cpr certification out the way and name plate, if you can. You can get it out of the way while you're already there (the name plate ).

My gpa is a 3.7 something in science. My Hesi score was a 75.

I scheduled my cpr clas for this Saturday. I have not done my name plate yet. Where can I get that done?

We need a name plate? I didn't see that anywhere on the instruction?

Yea. I already ordered mine. They'll probably say it at orientation, but I got it out of the way since I was already there to get my background check papers. It was 8bucks and some change. I found out reading this thread tbh.

You get the name plate done at the medical campus book store.
