Miami Dade College (MDC) Spring 2013 Gen. FT/PT& Accelerated Nursing program

Hi all,

I've just handed in my application to MDC for Spring '13.

Right now I'm overall score is 82 but I'm planning on retaking the TEAS in August to improve that.

If anyone has a book list from previous students, please send. I'd love to get cracking.

I have been following this post for months and I have been waiting anxiously, my gpa is 3.6 and my TEAS is 78 and I don't know why I haven't because this is on par with the scores from the second round, so I guess I will give them a call tomorow and see what is going on.

just got accepted into the transitional program(part time) with a 68 on teas and a 3.0 gpa.Congrats to all that got accepted!

Did anyone get into the part-time generic today? I really don't understand this, I'm seeing people post today with much lower scores than me that got in today :/

peanuter and Mo16 make sure you check your spam and make sure you call advisement.

One thing I did hear is that the scores are higher for part time generic then accelerated and scores for transitional are lower then accelerated

Each option is based on applicants but have faith I'm sure you will get in!

I know how stressful it is not to hear anything. But if you someone posted lower scores then you and got in for the program you applied it most likely means you got into so call!! and confirm they have your correct email. Good Luck!!

Peanuter and Mo16 last semester I never received an email and when I went to the student center I was told I had been admitted. However it was too late and my seat had been given to someone else. I had to reapply for this semester. U need to call or go over there and talk to Rebecca Garcia cattaya. She is very knowledgable and was able to help me. Good luck guys hopefully 2morrow u'll post good news.

@Elain7...I really don't understand how they can get the emails wrong...I get ever other email MDC sends out...the thing that I find weird is that it looks like a lot of people gave up their part-time seats but I haven't seen today anyone post they received a part-time seat in the second round. Do you really think I can get them to confirm my email/acceptance over the phone or do I really have to go down to Medical Campus to find out?

Peanuter I'm not sure if Rebecca could give u the information by phone. I know it takes a while for them to return calls they are so busy. That's why it took me so long to confirm last term bc I live in Homestead an it's such a mission to go to the medical campus. I get all emails from mdc also but for some reason I just did not get my admission letter last fall? Someone dropped the ball. I do agree w u I didn't see anyone get accepted for pt in round 2. Call 2morrow and ask but make sure to stay on top of it!

I called this morning and they advised that whatever emails that went out yesterday are what's going out for the second round, that they do see me in the system but they can't tell me if I was accepted over the phone but if I go down there they may be able to...this is so frustrating!

So I went down there today and said they had all my things; however, that they had to speak with the director then they would contact me but could not give me anymore information. This is sooo frustrating and it is making me really anxious. If they do not contact me today, I will be going there again tomorow.

I have no idea, the lady I spoke with said she couldn't give me any information at that time, maybe it's just a way of giving me the run around. This whole process has been a mission for me, I've been back and forth with them since I've applied. I feel like if you don't speak to the right person there are a lot of people working there that just don't know what they are doing!
