Hey everyone,
I just wanted to start a thread for people interested in the MDC nursing program for fall 2012. I think if you shared your scores (TEAS V & GPA) and what track your applying to (full-time or part-time), it will give everyone an idea of where they stand.
I will start:
I have a 3.7 GPA and an 81% on the TEAS and looking to apply for the part-time program. I have the option of taking the TEAS 2 more times which I will be doing :)
Just a quick question, has anyone been credited that non refundable $100 that was paid to secure our seat and that was suppose to go towards tuition? I have checked my schedule but haven't seen where it was deducted.
I'd forgotten about that! I checked too and haven't seem it anywhere! Time to ask about it I guess.
sorry i was away guys...this is the email i received on the test book...
students, the required textbook for you on the 14th is listed below, as well as a text that is highly recommended by me for the class. please make sure that you read chapters 1 – 10 from the test success textbook prior to coming to the workshop on the 14th. read, review and take all quizzes for chapters 1 – 10 in the nursing fundamentals reviews and rationales textbook.
1). test success. 6th ed. by nugent, p. and vitale, b. (2012).
2). nursing fundamentals. 6th ed. reviews & rationales by hogan, m. (2008) or latest edition. this is highly recommended by me, but not required.
so, you have about a month to read and review the two textbooks that i have presented to you here, make sure you make time now for this important preparation as you will find it very difficult to keep up with the class if you do not put forth the effort now!
finally, for the 14th, i would like everyone to purchase the nursing curriculum packet that is listed on your book list. the packet can only be purchased here at mdc, we will be using it during the workshop.
i look forward to working with all of you this semester.

Dr. ***** spoke to us at the generic and part-time orientation at Medical campus, mentioned that she whould conduct a test-taking seminar before and after our 4-hour test (we're divided into two groups, taking the test 9-1 or 1-5). She passed around a paper to sign up for the seminar. If you did not put your name and e-mail address on that paper, you will not hear from them.
Assuming there's enough space, I presume that they would let any new student attend, regardless of track or campus. You ought to call Dr. *****' office or email her for more informaton.

Hi everyone
I've asked Financial Aid office about $100, they told me that it will be credited back to us at the end of the fall semester.
