Hey guys,
I figured I should share what I know about the Fall 2015 application so far.
So far this is what I know:
I figured this should be a great place for us to share our anxiety about our apps and build some friendships :).
Everything its getting so hard to become a nurse, i wont lose my faith and it doesnt matter how long it takes me but will become a nurse and it doesnt matter how I do it. I will go and apply like in february or march. I lost my receipt when I applied last year because in my rejection letter said that I can apply again for free with my receipt but I guess I will have to pay again lol.
You will need the receipt from the registrar office anyway so it's fine if you misplaced your copy. I was rejected Spring 2013 and I was able to waive the Spring 2015 fee
Hi guys,
Have you guys taken CGS1060?
"1. The following courses must be completed to be awarded the Associate in Science Degree.
CGS 1060‡ Introduction to Microcomputer
‡Applicants may complete this requirement with the successful completion of the Computer Competency Test. This course requirement must be completed by the 31st credit of enrollment."
This is a little bit confusing to me. I haven't taken this class yet, but my credits are over 31 so far. I transferred last summer from NY.
in this case, can I still take this now? Can anybody make it clear?
Thanks!
Hey guys,I figured I should share what I know about the Fall 2015 application so far.
So far this is what I know:
- Spring 2015 students do not need an entrance exam - let's see if they keep it this way for Fall 2015 applicants
- There will be a mandatory SOS Pre Nursing Bootcamp that will need to be attended upon acceptance to the program.
- I called advising today (7/7/14) the receptionist said I should start applying in January, but I'll confirm that once again before then.
- 60% sciences and 40% cumulative GPA is still the criteria as far as we know.
I figured this should be a great place for us to share our anxiety about our apps and build some friendships :).
I went to their advisement seminar, and they said there will be no test for fall and next spring.
Protestan por difÃ*cil examen de titulaciónIm freaking out. Now MDC integrated the exit exam and if we don't pass with 850 we don't graduate. I found out this info at Univison. Lol. Is this true ?
Most nursing schools require an exit exam to graduate. I believe MDC is implementing this now because their NCLEX-RN passing rates have been falling in the past years. So they have implemented an exam that is like a pretest for the NCLEX-RN as a requirement in order to have students that have a high chance of passing the national exam taking it.
That way they can improve their passing rates with the accreditation boards.
This is not some evilness act in their part at all. You must keep in mind that if a school drops below certain NCLEX-RN pass rates they can be subject to probation and loose accreditation. And we as students will not want that.
Besides if they are failing is because they are not ready after passing their classes, since the exam is a simulation of the NCLEX-RN then that means they are not ready for it either.
Hey I am applying for fall 2015 ( generic nursing full time) and I finished all the pre-reqs for admission. Now in spring semester, I am taking stat and nutrition, sociology for rn to bsn in the future.
My grade from stat, nutrition and sociology will also affect overall GPA for nursing generic admission for fall ? Does anybody know this?
