Miami Dade College Fall 2015 RN Program

Hey guys,

I figured I should share what I know about the Fall 2015 application so far.

So far this is what I know:

1. Spring 2015 students do not need an entrance exam - let's see if they keep it this way for Fall 2015 applicants
   
2. There will be a mandatory SOS Pre Nursing Bootcamp that will need to be attended upon acceptance to the program.
   
3. I called advising today (7/7/14) the receptionist said I should start applying in January, but I'll confirm that once again before then.
   
4. 60% sciences and 40% cumulative GPA is still the criteria as far as we know.
   

I figured this should be a great place for us to share our anxiety about our apps and build some friendships :).

I'm planning on going Wednesday to Medical campus to apply and I'm already starting to feel anxious. Haha

Hey everyone! I wanted to know what every ones gpa's are ? I keep hearing different things from people about what gpa they accept.....

Bridge 3.70 overall 3.40 science

3.7 cumulative and 3.5 program GPA which I'm assuming is science? But I'm finishing my last prereqs for the fall program now so I have to keep As.

I have my met all my pre reqs but taking the intro to healthcare course now. I want to apply for the part time program in May. It shouldn't be an issue to apply now before the deadline right? :) I'm trying for Homestead campus...anyone else?

Congratulations on completing those courses! They are already accepting applications so you should not have any problems turning it in now.

About the HSC0003 exemption, my CNA license and CPR are approved recently, but in my unofficial transcript , I earned credit of HSC 0995. Is this ok? I mean when someone is exempted, is that class recorded as HSC 0995 not 0003? I would appreciate if anybody confirm this. Thank you.

I don't know about the exemption, but in case you have to take it again they let you apply, but you have to register for the class. I took it last semester and there were students who applied to the program while taking HSC 0003, they let you apply only if that's the only requirement left.
