Miami Dade College Fall 2015 RN Program

Published

Hey guys,

I figured I should share what I know about the Fall 2015 application so far.

So far this is what I know:

  1. Spring 2015 students do not need an entrance exam - let's see if they keep it this way for Fall 2015 applicants
  2. There will be a mandatory SOS Pre Nursing Bootcamp that will need to be attended upon acceptance to the program.
  3. I called advising today (7/7/14) the receptionist said I should start applying in January, but I'll confirm that once again before then.
  4. 60% sciences and 40% cumulative GPA is still the criteria as far as we know.

I figured this should be a great place for us to share our anxiety about our apps and build some friendships :).

Hi BLNurse,

I am also interested in BC south if I have a hard time at MDC. I have Microbiology next term though and that will be my final prereq. Interested int the bridge program.

Hi Betty

I'm considering that option too. I will apply for fall at MDC. I'm also taking classes in spring to finish my AA, but I'm already done with all the nursing pre requisites. Good luck. I will keep you posted. I'm applying for full time.

Is the bridge program aka transitional. You can do medical assistant at Robert Morgan. After the program u take ur registration to become an RMA and then u are able to apply for bridge program.

You can do it with MDC but it takes a Year. Lili reapply again i guantee you will be accepted the second time. I'm planning to apply next month. I can't wait any longer. I will keep myself busy with my spring classes.

When r u guys applying? I'm thinking April 20 I don't want to wait until May 1 I heard it gets crazy in the advisement office.

January 2015

Protestan por difícil examen de titulación

Im freaking out. Now MDC integrated the exit exam and if we don't pass with 850 we don't graduate. I found out this info at Univison. Lol. Is this true ?

This is something new. Many students won't be able to graduate bc of not passing the exit exam. They were advised two months before graduation about this new regulation. I just read a petition sent to Eduardo Padron to remove the exam. I also heard that only 20 % passed. 😱

Thas crazy! Let's see what's going to Happen now.
