hello! it's been a while since i last visited this site. this forum has helped me in so many ways, from preparing for skype interview to completing documents for visa application. i think i owe this site an update. January 2012 was when i was given an eligibility letter from AHPRA to undergo a bridging course. i searched for schools that offered the program within melbourne and then applied for 3. i ended up with IHNA. while waiting for my interview i was searching the net for possible questions and answers and stumbled upon this site. fast forward to present: i completed my clinical placement at a private hospital in Bundoora, last Aug 31. i just submitted my assessment files to IHNA yesterday, which will then be forwarded to AHPRA this week. hopefully i will get my registration by next week or the week after. during the last few days in clinicals, our educator kept reminding us that it's getting harder to get a job as a nurse in the acute setting. a lot overseas nurses start off in aged care which is not really my cuppa tea. but if it's the only option i have then what else can i do? also, some hospitals don't offer sponsorships to overseas nurses which is another problem. and overseas nurses are also competing against the local graduates. so good luck to everyone!
Hi cheskaval121,
Do you know anyone who got into IHNA without having at least 2 years of experience? Less than a year of experience even? Because I applied online today and I have passed the interview. So i'm a bit anxious if they would accept me since I have less than a year of experience even though I passed their interview.
Hi everyone.
I'd just like to ask if anyone here was able to get into IHNA without having at least 2 years of experience? I have applied today online and passed their interview. Although I am a bit anxious if they would still accept me despite having passed their interview since I have less than a year of experience. Any feedback would be really appreciated!

Was it an interview via skype or you took the online exam?
As you may be aware your APRA letter is now out of date I am informing you that you have been removed from the waiting list for the Assessment of competence program*can't believe i'd receive such email from CON after months of not hearing anything from them and not even responding to my emails..
Hi sis. I checked the application form of CON and on the second part there is payment method. I'd like to know if payment is required when we lodge our application? Thank you.
