I have started a thread in the Immigration for Immigration requirements for Australia/New Zealand
G day mates, I am new here in Allnurses,1. I want to know more regarding the latest information (official letter) from AHPRA dated September 2014 stating that Philippines and India doesn't meet the criteria 2 and 3 of the iqnm, and thus the referral to the Bridging Program unless other criteria aren't also met... pls confirm: is the decision for ALL PH nurses educated in the Phils whichever school we graduated? no one is spared?
2. and what updates are there about what the Phils accrediting agencies ched paascu etc. doing with this matter?
3. for proof that the phil curriculum covers the pharmacology requirement of ahpra, do we need to provide a separate letter for it even if we can provide the completed course/BSN program outline?, if yes, do we have a template for that?
4. when is the best time to lodge an application?
cheers.
PS im in Sydney collating my docs for Ahpra application this april/early may.
Hi there!
The decision of AHPRA is universal for all Philippine-educated nurses. In the past, if you have registration from Singapore, you will be granted direct registration, by passing the BP route. I am not sure if that is still the case now.
CHED, PAASCU, PACUCOA are local regulating bodies. Even if you provide them the letter of accreditation, you will still be referred for BP. On the AHPRA website, you could download the template to be filled up by any of these three where your school got their accreditation for their nursing degree. Getting it done by CHED is cheaper and faster based on my experience.
You only need to send the course syllabus of your pharmacology subject. You don't need the whole syllabus of every course in the BSN program.
The best time send your application is the soonest you could collate all necessary documentation. They are sorting out applications by date and there are a lot of back logs. Good luck! :) God bless your application!
Hi Majai :) Thank you for posting this. I would like to ask regarding requirement 6 Certification for pharma subject. Does the school need to send a certain document directly to AHPRA? I've read in the AHPRA website that it has to be sent by the institution itself.
Certification from your education institution, provided directly to AHPRA, that you successfully completed your course of study which covered medication management including drug calculation, pharmacokinetics (the study of the bodily absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of drugs and pharmacodynamics (the study of the biochemical and physiological effects of drugs and the mechanisms of their action in the body).
Please let me know :) Thank you so much!

The school needs to make a separate certification showing "that you successfully completed your course of study which covered medication management including drug calculation, pharmacokinetics (the study of the bodily absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of drugs and pharmacodynamics (the study of the biochemical and physiological effects of drugs and the mechanisms of their action in the body).
It can be mailed together with the document for IQNM 2. Usually the school gives you the document and you will have to mail it yourself... unless the school will let you pay them for it to be mailed.
@eLKing
hi there mate!
base on the the latest IQNM faq, we, filo nurses, are not anymore needed to supply them with criteria 2 & 3 (perhaps also 8) as we do not achieve their standard in oz, kind of odd since we are AQF 7 :) & as far as i know most of us here before receiving there LOE's did not meet criterion 2,3,6 & 8 but eligible for a BP so that is 4/8.
hope this info would help.
aside from this facts, i sought advice from a migration agent & he told me to just pass the complete requirement from AGOS 40 (including the CGS from PRC)& wait for the reply of your supposed case officer.
P.s
anything is possible as long we give our faith in him :) pray and make it specific all the best!
I have emailed RO twice already that I do not wish to make a submission and would like to withdraw my application. But they don't seem to be responding to my email. It's for the withdrawal of the registration fee. Has anyone withdrawn their registration fee already?
Hi, I called ahpra regarding that matter because when they sent to me the proposal to refuse my registration, i did not respond to them. I was thinking it's the right thing to do because I am not objecting to it and Im happy to be referred to bp. After a month they sent me an email with the letter of refusal together with the request for refund. I asked my friend and told her about what i did, she told me to call ahpra immediately. I called ahpra and asked them if it was necessary at the time they sent the proposal for refusal for me to respond to them and withdraw, they told me no, it wasn't needed. since they didn't hear anything from me, it was automatically assumed that i am not going to make an appeal and that i am going for bp. What i just have to do is fill out the refund form they just sent to me and mail it by to them by post...
So I think you dont have to worry. Just wait till the end of the date they specified in the letter for you to make a submission. After that they will email you again with the request for refund form...without that form, they cannot give u back your registration fee. I hope this helps...:)
