i found the exact reason for the delay, which i guess some of us are already aware of. im just posting the exact details i found from the website. hopefully they're already starting the processing for PH applications which some of the details discussed via twitter..

hoping for the best and approval for the BP.

so according to FAQ no.5

The new model requires that the education institution where you studied be externally accredited during the period your program of study was undertaken (criterion 2) and that your program of study is accredited by the relevant nursing and/or midwifery regulatory authority or agency (criterion 3).

The National Board is aware that some countries may not meet these evidentiary requirements. We will refer applicants from these countries to a Board-approved bridging program of study if the applicant meets criteria 1, 4, 5 and 7 as outlined below:

so, i guess given the new model, we may still be eligible for BP aside all of this delays and changes.

Yeah

my question about Phil trained nurses not doing bp has more to do with nurses who studied again elsewhere outside the Phil- although I don't think I have enough credits on degree level in the UK, but I guess it's better than being completely shut off... Having said that, I've resigned myself to the idea I will do Bp too haha... Well good luck to everyone. It seems they are still working on residual UK applications and appeals ( and there's a news about A&E nurses losing registration Bec ago ahpra

Specializes in Renal, dialysis.

There's a letter posted about a certain association of nurses coming up with recommendations for Ahpra which generally was saying how disorganised Ahpra was and that it should be Accountable for loss of money (insurance stuff) and reimburse fees for some etc although it seems like this is more for people who are already on the register and had problems

Just heard that there will be a Board meeting on September 22.

Hi I just want to share this with you , I inquired my application to my CO and here is her reply.

"Thank you for your email regarding your application.

Please be advised we have recently streamlined our processes and you are no longer required to provide information regarding criteria 3 and 8.

We have enough information to proceed and it is likely that applicants from the Philippines who meet all registration requirements will be referred to a Board approved bridging program.

We are working hard to process these applications and will let you know by email when there is an update or outcome. "

did anyone receive same as mine?

@nurse_123

Didn't your school and CHED sent criteria 3 and 8 to AHPRA? When did you lodged your application? What state?

Hi thank you so much for those who replied ... but my school like UP is also operating autonomously... not only UP has been given autonomy by ched...there are few other state universities and even private universities who were granted with this kind of privilege because of the school's performance. Like for example when I was processing my papers for Saudi Arabia before, I didn't have to go to CHED for the CAV process. My university provided it to me and I immediately went to DFA for Red Ribbon...as simple as that... But the IQNM's requirements for criterion 2 and 3 is a little more complicated than CAV... as I understand it, it needed an independent nationally recognized accreditation authority like AACCUP , PAASCU or other accrediting agency to certify an institution's or a program of study's external accreditation and not from the Commission of Higher Education.

Now, my problem is my school's accreditation from aacup has already expired from the time I undertook the nursing program and until now they were still not able to undergo for re - accreditation. Since I believe in the Philippines it is not a must for every university to be externally accredited for them to operate because for as long as they perform well, they will still be recognized (correct or enlighten me if I'm wrong). And being a university with autonomy they do not need to secure any permit to open a program. That's why maybe they did not felt the need to comply with re accreditation. However, we, the graduates, who are seeking for registration in Australia are the affected one. and worst I am the first one to ask for this kind of requirement.

So now, if anyone can give an advice on what I should do? Will a certification from ched that certifies my school's autonomy will help? Will an official letter from my dean would help as well? And if ever i wont be able to comply with criterion 2 and 3 ( i know they will refuse me for registration) what are my other options? will i still have a chance for BP? or should I just contact AHPRA regarding this matter?

Thank you!

Did you try going to CHED? Your problem should be over if you did.

when did you receive this reply? just recently?

Hi i hope somebody can enlighten me... For those people planning to take BP in ACN... Where to do our record of immunization... Does it have to be accredited or any hospital and doctor can signify my record... Unlike our visa application it should be done under the approved agencies.

If ever I receive my LOE I'll go for ACN in Burwood because its just a few blocks away from out flat here in NSW. Im not aware of those requirements all I know is that they dont accept BP students without experience.. I'll try to drop by once I have the LOE and will let you know, but for the moment have you checked their website?
