Hi guys! Just want to say thank you to everyone who has been very helpful with others giving info. Im not an active member, I just read posts conversation most of the time and I must say I got heaps of Infos about how to apply with AHPRA. I want to share as well that God is good! I lodged ahpra application last august 2014 here in Sydey office and just received my LOE today, I also received my letter of offer same day. By the way I have been living here in Sydney for almost a year now and working as an AIN at one of the retirement facility in NSW. I have been following this thread since I lodged my ahpra application last august 2014, i havent Checked this forum for a while and I was suprised with a lot of people here have received their LOEs.. Great news though I havent received mine, my RO just requested me a detailed resume and Certificate of service with the work descriptions from my employer here since I got a registration referal from our director in nursing(currently working as an Asst in Nursing grade 2 here in Sydney) Been here for 10months now. BP in SYDNEY: those who are planning to go to ACN its really accessible via train and a short 2min walk. But its better if you can find accomodation in Burwood or Strathfield area(where I live) 1min via train or bus to ACN. Other suburbs I can recommend for Express trains to burwood (trains here are unlike in PH which stops in evey station), better to stay in Ashfield, Redfern, Parramatta, Granville, Auburn and Lidcombe. Others would recommend Blacktown(filo-suburb) but it would take less than 1hr and there are not so much trains passing. Good luck and God bless, hope to see some of you.. :) ---AJ

hi! I lodged last Aug.6 and just got the receipt email on the same day. Then I made a web enquiry because I dont know whom can I ask, CO doesnt email me anyting, but the web enquiry replies: "Your application for registration as a Registered Nurse was received by AHPRA on06/08/2014*and is currently under assessment with the registrations team. If there is anything further you are required to submit in support of your application, or once an outcome is available the registrations team will contact you directly." Hope to have the LOE in soonest time :)

I lodged personally at Sydney office last august 7, got confirmation from the courier that all docs from PH were received after a week. Mid-august, I popped in their office and the front desk checked my account she said all documents from PH were all scanned and complete. She instructed me to wait for the email if the RO will be asking some other docs. I think RO will not ask for anything because I have read all the possible documents that they may requir and I have submitted it all (Diploma, TOR, Course Outline, Course Descritption, English as Medium Certificate, Criteria 2,3 and 8 for both BSN and MAN studies, PRC good standing, visa, passport, COE, Letter from australian employer). We did our best, let God do the rest.. See you future BP classmates in ACN burwood! :) God bless!

If ever I receive my LOE I'll go for ACN in Burwood because its just a few blocks away from out flat here in NSW. Im not aware of those requirements all I know is that they dont accept BP students without experience.. I'll try to drop by once I have the LOE and will let you know, but for the moment have you checked their website?

I'm currently here in ahpra sydney office while typing this post.. I submitted a letter comming from my employer that once registered with ahpra they will be able to hire me.. I also asked the desk person if she can provide me some information on my application, she tried to access my account and she just said there is no progress yet but all my documents are in. The assessor/registration officer will contact me directly if ever theres a movement with the application. She also stated that the boards will take into consideration all relevant documents I have passed (BSN, RN, MAN, EXPI), but as of the moment she cant give any information bec the board has the final say with the decision wether i will be referred to BP. I just told her maybe I'll just keep on praying, I been waiting for more than a month now.. And she just laughed and smiled.. She advised me just to wait patiently.. Im claiming my LOE in soonest time, in Jesus name! :)

Hi guys! Let us still be positive on this! Atleast BP is still there Otherwise theres no other way than to go in uni. Lets thank AHPRA and BON that they still consider us Despite of their changed format and requirements. About the sponsor, im here in Sydney for almost 5months Now(dependant visa) and currently working as an AIN in one of the biggesst Aged care provider in AU, our DIRECTOR is aware that im applying for ahpra and she was asking me if i can doRN shifts in the future.. Another part time job I have is on a small nursing home, our team leader informed me thar whenever I finished my registration they can sponsor. Its true that there is a huge difference with our nursing practice to theirs, i have been a CI and a staff nurse at the same time for 3years in PH but when I was exposed with the AU setting its really different. The point is, everything has to be a fruit of hard work and a lot of prayers, there is nothing impossible with Christ.. I've been waiting for about 1 month now with ahpra and got this email 2days ago.. ---Your application is currently under consideration and AHPRA staff will be in contact with you directly if further information is required. Due to the current high volume of applications from internationally qualified nurses and midwives we are unable to provide a timeframe for a decision on your application. Please be assured that the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and AHPRA continue to work to expedite the assessment and determination of your application for registration however, a timeframe cannot be given at this stage.--- Keep positive vibes! Hi guys! I just went in AHPRA office this afternoon in sydney.. im the only one who was there with the staff and they arent so busy. I just brought my papers I thought it'll help with my application, MAN diploma, TOR, course description and outline. BSN course description etc. I also got a chance to ask questions with the front desk in charge of receiving the applications. First, i asked her how long would it take? She said Its quite long, it should take a minimum of 4 months up to 6 months for those with international qualification..(hoping for that to happen) Second, is it true that there is no bridging for filo nurses anymore? I known some applicants who were partially refused.. She said, each decision from the board is according to an individuals assessment, so, you should only compare your qualifications with the AQF(aussi qualification framework) not with other applicants. So, it depends on what evidences and documents you submit. Third, is there an approved Philippines trained nurse since they implemented the new iqnm? She said, actually, when you are given a letter of endorsement to do the bridging you are being refused for the initial registration.. thats why you need to do the bp first, and yes there are phil. Nurses given LOE to do bridging under the new IQNM. It all depends on what you give us thats why we ask for so many documents.. Thank you! She said, have a great day! Bye! And thats it.. Hi guys! I just lodged my documents 2weeks ago in ahpra office in sydney, I asked the lady accepting the applications in there, how long will it take?(pa-inosente).. She said for international nurses like us it should be 4-6months depending on the papers we have submitted.. ************* tomorrow i'll be going back to submit some requirements I think will be supplemental.
