I have started a thread in the Immigration for Immigration requirements for Australia/New Zealand
If ever I receive my LOE I'll go for ACN in Burwood because its just a few blocks away from out flat here in NSW. Im not aware of those requirements all I know is that they dont accept BP students without experience.. I'll try to drop by once I have the LOE and will let you know, but for the moment have you checked their website?
Yes i checked already but cant seem to find the specific answer... Im planning o do it together with my visa application... But i want everything to be ready (ACN requirements) as soon as my LOE comes out... Thank you and hope to see you there...
Hi,just wondering if any of you has seen a job advert for a scholarship? grants for the IRON programme for 100 nurses
on workabroad.ph?
its under education linkages and suppposedly with monash uni.
i dont know how credible and legit this is, but ive sent emails anyways.
1. to the screening personnel in the phil
2. to the programme admin in monash uni.
anyhow, just seems too good to be true, although Nurses who come to the UK mostly do not have to pay for the ONP which was the equivalent of BP in Aus so there may be some merit to this if it were a massive recruitment drive funded by a large healthcare company. Im skeptic, but who knows.
2nd) are you guys willing to say, how much you are paying for your BPs just so Ill have an idea, how much is reasonable and where to go, (cheapest) obviously.
thanks
You have to make a loan to them of around 20,000 AUD for this for all the expenses and the BP is deducted. Not worth it and interest rate is 30% a month. You will incur more damage with their system. Paying for your own is much better.
I am planning to take my BP as well in ACN... So far, they didn't change their 10,000 AUD fee. They posted their intakes for 2015, once I received the most awaited LOE, hopefully I will be able to join their January intake in God's perfect time and will. I want to start completing this immunization requirement... I hope somebody can share their experience. TIA! :)
Sent from my iPad using allnurses

I agree it's expensive money. Did they tell you or do you know what the terms are (how many months or years do they give to do the repayment amount)?
Original quote is 35,000 AUD all in. Minus BP which is around 13,000 AUD. 22,000 AUD remains.Imagine you have to make a loan which is expected to grow 30% monthly with unnecessary fees like:Migration Lawyer fee 2500 AUDAdmin Fee 4500 AUDCareer Management Fee 4500 AUDThese unnecessary fees are already 11500 AUD. Single worth of a BP already. Even more expensive than ACN and can be more expensive because of interest rate. I don't get where does scholarship comes when you have to pay for these unncessary fees.It is expected that these fees should be paid and deducted from your salary. Say for example, your total loan is 20,000 AUD then in 3 months you found a job, then you're paying around 40,000 AUD already by then. And charging for the interest rates starts when you sign with them. Not really recommended.Where does the scholarship go?

I saw this on Twitter. Makes me yell at them! To think they are prioritizing certain group of nurses.

Totally agree with you! This form of "scholarship" is not only very expensive but highly risky to say the least. What if one doesn't find a job within the months under the terms of this scholarship?
These scammers and they will not be the only ones and unfortunately, they will be some students/nurses who will fall for these traps and end up in a long life of misery to pursue the dream, always having to worry about how to repay this "scholarship".
But really a "scholarship" from these people is nothing more than a LOAN.
A real scholarship has very little attachments to them and not required to be repaid back. A true scholarship has zero interest and given out to deserving individuals who present very good grades and very promising future to assist their community as the minimum requirements.
By the way, did these scammers ask for any sort of "collateral"?
I asked an accounting friend to do a calculation of this LOAN, she figures it will easily take 15 YEARS or more minimum to repay this high interest LOAN.
Scholarship it's not! This is like those Philman LOANS! Stay away, stay far away!
