Me? RICH? Oh no, no!! You see, at first I wasn't even thinking of BP before I started to apply for the student visa. Then I read in the forums that it will not lead to a working visa, so eventually my family and I decided that I should go for the BP, but it was too late to back out of my previous application since we already paid more than 50%. Since having a student visa allows you to work part-time, I'm thinking I could save up and help in alleviating my everyday expenses. Another thing, my student visa lasts for 2 years, so after the BP, maybe I can have 2-4 months allowance before my visa expires for job hunting. Thanks for your answer! Can I add another question? When you request for the SOS from your employer, do you need to include referral letters from your Hr head, chief nurse for example? Thanks again! :)
I see. That's why I don't like attending orientations being advertised for something like that because they only want money from nurses.
Well, if your HR head or Chief Nurse would be very much be willing to give then good. You can use it for ANMAC application if nurse is the signatory and for immigration purposes.
Although SOS would suffice for the AHPRA application.
For those who have received confirmation of receipt of those requirements pertaining to the new criteria from their Registration Officers, I think, that indicates that your application is in Stage 2. IQNM applications are considered complex, that is why all of these kinds of applications are stock in Stage 2. NMBA is researching the accreditation of the nursing program you finished, and that is the reason why decision is taking so long to be released. Furthemore, if your qualification falls on AQF level 5 or below, applications will be forwarded for a local board decision (Stage 3) which will again cause long process and waiting. If your qualication meets level 6 or 7, your application still needs further deliberation, but once an outcome has been decided, it is promised (based on their website) that your application will be processed as quickly as possible. So, let us just hope, that after all these waitings, we get (Stage 4) registered or just be referred to a bridging course, and not being refused for registration.

Yeah, that's true. I also read that information in their website. Let's just be positive that it will be directly in stage 4 so we will not wait for long. God bless to all of us! I hope we can have an approval for our Australian dream!
Okay, I see. My registration officer is inefficent then. LoL. I realized that I'm past 90 days after receipt of my application. I believe, extension letter is coming.I have to stick with this note from AHPRA "an AHPRA staff will contact you if further information is needed." I should believe that everything is fine, my papers are complete that is why no one is contacting me. Haha. Whatever!
I sent you a PM. I hope you'll read it.
Yes, I received your PM already. Thank you! Just keep me posted with your progress and keep in touch. Just don't worry to much, if your papers will suffice everything then there's nothing they can do but to approve you. We just have to be positive. Even me I wanted it to be there already so that we can start processing. I just don't want it to be long, it's good my IELTS will expire still next 2015. I am just happy because they really have a lot of backlogs right now and there are many applicants this year. I have a strong faith that All will be well! hehe...
HI! In the Clinical/procedural skills in the CV.. so you list the skills performed during your RLE, and im really confused on this part. What evidence must we need to provide for this? certified true copies of the return demonstration evaluation form, with the ratings and comments? or just the RLE list signed by your CI if you have handled, assisted, or observed the nursing procedure? please help! thanks!!
@katchupoi
No evidence needed.

I just got home from the IDP Education Exhibition in Makati. I talked to representatives of some Australian schools that offer bridging program such as LTU, Deakin, Monash, etc. They really know the plight of our AHPRA applications, the delays, backlogs, extension letters. They are really disappointed.
The one from LTU said, "I don't really know what's going on with our government."
Deakin U rep said that they even opened a new intake for Nov 2014 because they are expecting more students that should accommodate 50 slots. Until now, only few are interested and around 5 are enrolled. So it depends, if they will push through. She said if my LOE comes before Nov, getting a visa should be fast tracked.
She even commented about AHPRA processing, "I don't know what to say, I really don't know what to say."

Thanks a lot official02! You're really a big help!

That's really sad but at least we are aware now that the system of AHPRA has really a problem. There are really backlogs/delays in the assessment process. Let's just pray they will be able to figure it out soon and give us what we waiting for. God bless!
I am in receipt of my 3rd extension letter which will be due on 13 November 2014. I contacted my case officer regarding the further extension and this was his response:
On 10 February 2014 the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (National Board) implemented a new model for the assessment of qualifications of internationally qualified nurses and midwives (IQNMs).
This model is applied to all applications that were incomplete on 7 October 2013 or submitted after 8 October 2014, which includes your application.
The assessment of the qualifications of IQNMs is a complex process with several review stages. We published new information on 1 July 2014 on the National Board website which further explains the new assessment model.
The National Board is aware that the Philippines may not meet the evidentiary requirements for a number of the IQNM qualification assessment criteria and, as a matter of priority, is exploring the options that will enable Filipino-educated nurses such as you to meet these requirements. As soon as the National Board has made its decision, I will notify you of the outcome and how that may be relevant to your application.
I am not in a position to guarantee the timeframe for the National Board's deliberations or when your application for registration will be finalised. It is likely to be weeks rather than days before a decision will be made and you may wish to consider exploring alternative employment opportunities in the interim. We will do everything possible to expedite your application once the National Board has made its decision.
Indeed, patience is a virtue and this will gonna be a long long run. Goodluck to all. Let's just hope and pray for the very best outcome that we deserve. Godbless everyone!

This has gone scary already. I just can't believe that 3 extensions were given to you. And reading from it, we may not really meet AQF level 7. I don't know what's their reason behind. What if even AQF 6 cannot be met? It sounded fishy how "priority" was put in the letter. 3 extensions is not making it a priority. So if they are making ways for us from the Philippines to meet their criteria, they are also devising ways for new requirements? New troubles, I guess.
Good luck, everyone.
