  1. That's good @nlmc! Actually, you'll really learn from this group. I just message AHPRA regarding my reapplication since my first eligibility letter is expired already and my reg. officer told me that I can apply and use some of my previous documents. But some documents should be resubmitted like Curriculum Vitae, good standing, maybe new employment cert if applicable, etc. But for my educational papers and others that are still valid should not be submitted again. I am hoping I could start my application within August. For now, I am still saving some money for the bridging. Hopefully, all will be well! Just hold on @nlmc, you'll be fine too. Just fell free to ask anything if you have queries regarding the process.
  2. Hi @nlmc!!! Currently, my husband is on 573 student visa, he is going to study Masters. So, I am also allowed to study not more than 3 months, so bridging is ok for my visa as well coz in IHNA it takes 9-10 weeks only which is less than 3 months. How about you? Are you in Australia already?
  3. AHPRA ELIGIBILITY LETTER RENEWAL It's been over a year since I posted in this site. Actually, this group helped me so much when I am applying for AHPRA and my application actually went through successfully. I got my ELIGIBILITY LETTER but the sad story I was not able to apply for bridging within the one year duration given by AHPRA. My letter is already EXPIRED. To enlighten you with my timeline when I am applying before, the following are the details of my timeline. May 5, 2014- I send my application to Perth, Australia. - CHED, PRC & MY UNIVERSITY (also sent the docs I requested) May 8, 2014- AHPRA replied and acknowledges receipt of my application. May 12, 2014- My IELTS was delivered in AHPRA Perth electronically by IDP. July 1, 2014- Msg from Reg. Officer -We can confirm that your application is being assessed but at this time we are unable to provide a date for when this will be finalised. July 15 2014- NOTICE OF REQUIREMENT from AHPRA. Criterion 2- "REQUEST FOR ACCREDITATION-INSTITUTION" with supporting document. July 18, 2014- My University send the necessary attachment to SYDNEY, NSW as instructed in email. August 3, 2014 - AHPRA Reg. Officer from Sydney mailed me again--Please be advised that we have now received all your outstanding documents. A national review team will assess your qualification for substantial equivalence to a National Board-approved qualification in nursing. Due to the current high volume of applications from internationally qualified nurses and midwives we are unable to provide a timeframe for a decision on your application. Please be assured that the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and AHPRA continue to work to expedite the assessment and determination of your application for registration. January 12, 2015- RECEIVED MY AHPRA ELIGIBILITY LETTER FOR BRIDGING (1 YEAR) 8 MONTHS OF WAITING I am actually so happy to got the chance to have the eligibility letter but it wasunfortunate because my letter expires before our visa with my husband were approved. I am already here in PERTH, AUSTRALIA right now and I'm planning to re-apply again since I was not fortunate to get an extension and it's been 3 months since the expiration date. I just want to ask if there's anyone here that's have the same story as mine and is having a plan to start again. In addition, I would love to hear any advise and encouragement from this group regarding my situation. I know it would be hassle to repeat and take IELTS again but I hope all will work out well. God is still good coz I have the chance to renew my application and now, I'm here already in Australia. It would be easier to follow-up and know the necessary documents if there's any additional needed from the previous one. Moreover, I want to inspire others not to give up with their dreams in life, if this is really what you want, GO AHEAD! PLEASE GET IT! Remember, God has always a perfect timing! For those allnurses members who are in Perth Australia right now, hope to hear from you! Hope you could give me a message.

  5. I just remember to post in this website about mg progress. By the way, I received my letter from AHPRA for bridging last january 12, 2015. They give until one year to process, so until January 2016. I am planning to apply for Bridging maybe by May. Is anyone of you knows if AHPRA can extend the period of 1 year in case you'll be late? Thank you so much. God bless us with our plans in life!
  6. Thank you so much for the information! Yah, that's true, we just need to keep the faith and pray. I sent my application in Perth. God bless! Thanks again!
  7. Ahhh, okay! Thank you so much! What state did u apply? I was emailed by my registration officer but she did not mention about extension yet. She just said that a national review team will assess my qualification for substantial equivalence to a National Board-approved qualification in nursing. Furthermore, she informed me that due to the current high volume of applications from internationally qualified nurses and midwives they are unable to provide a timeframe for a decision on my application. That's really so long already (8months). I pray that you'll have your LOE soon. I'm waiting for mine for 2-3 months already. Waiting is so tiresome and nerve-wracking...huhuhu... Hope we will fall under AQF 6/7. God bless to us!
  8. Yah, it's really not a joke. What are the requirements you complied again that AHPRA asked from you. I think that's a good sign too coz they are really giving you extensions to comply meaning they might be deciding for you under AQF 6/7. Let's be positive! It will all be okay soon. How many months did you wait for your LOE already? Thanks! Keep in touch!
  9. Ahhh, okay...so you mean, you have something to comply then they give you extension? Thank you!
  10. Hello! I just want to ask regarding your 3rd extension letter? How did you know about the due date of your extension letter? Did they specify it in the letter? I am sorry for asking this, I just want to know. Hope to hear from you. God bless!
  11. That's really sad but at least we are aware now that the system of AHPRA has really a problem. There are really backlogs/delays in the assessment process. Let's just pray they will be able to figure it out soon and give us what we waiting for. God bless!
  12. Yes, I received your PM already. Thank you! Just keep me posted with your progress and keep in touch. Just don't worry to much, if your papers will suffice everything then there's nothing they can do but to approve you. We just have to be positive. Even me I wanted it to be there already so that we can start processing. I just don't want it to be long, it's good my IELTS will expire still next 2015. I am just happy because they really have a lot of backlogs right now and there are many applicants this year. I have a strong faith that All will be well! hehe...
  13. Yeah, that's true. I also read that information in their website. Let's just be positive that it will be directly in stage 4 so we will not wait for long. God bless to all of us! I hope we can have an approval for our Australian dream!
  14. I just come to know about my Registration Officer in Perth and Sydney because they emailed me and it's written below their Registration Officer. Every time I inquire from Reg. Officer in Perth, he is always updating me. Then, when my papers (the additional req) are sent to SYDNEY, NSW, I told him about it. Then, he said he will contact my reg.officer in Sydney. After, few days, my reg.officer in Sydney also emailed me about the progress. They really have their own email account. Let's just hope and pray that someone will answer you with specific update. I understand what you feel. It is really frustrating when your not sure where's the progress of your application already. Just be optimistic that it will come out soon. Hope we can have a positive response from them. Keep in touch! God bless!
  15. Just don't lose hope. We can do it! Just try to ask the reg.officer in QLD if your application is in the National Board already. I hope he/she can provide you any update at least to be relieved. Waiting is really not a joke. I'm even tired already. I just let myself be occupied by other activities. I hope we can hear positive response. God bless!
