Hi councilor28
CONGRATULATIONS! I think I have sent you my reply in your email add....After getting your registration, you need to apply for ANMAC assessment first to apply for PR..Make sure you have at least 3 years overseas nursing experience or 1 year experience in Australia..Please check the point system as well..You need to have at least 60 points for skilled migration..
Try to check the ANMAC website for the list of requirements. They have a specific pattern for the professional reference as well. It would be better to comply all the requirements while you are still in the Philippines.
Once you received your Decision letter from ANMAC you need to submit an expression of interest to DIAC. Then wait for their reply or invitation to apply for permanent residency.
For further information check ANMAC and DIAC website because they might update any information with regards to this from time to time.
Good luck and wish you all the best :)

Not sure if the conversion courses also require IELTS 7 all round one sitting a well. Remember though when you go to register with AHPRA you still need this score for english even if you have studied at an Australian university.
Please do not be fooled that if you study in Australia you will easily pass the IELTS with a 7. Many do not the trouble is in speaking and listening, when one goes to live in another country often hang out with speakers of home language,, so this does not help at all.
I know a diploma student began her education before APHRA brought in the new english rules and therefore she was allowed to begin her study - she is from a european country, has lived in Australia 35 years, does return to her original home for periods of 4-6 weeks each year. Her and husband speak their own language at home.
She cannot manage to pass the IELTS at 7 either. One must live in english everyday, to stand a chance of passing this IELTs.
Is there not a review centre at home for IELTS? Good luck
No, if you are not from an English speaking country you must have English test proficiency unless you have worked 3 months in any of those countries you will be exempt, and I must stress even if you have studied in Australia.
Another thing, you still must register as a nurse with AHPRA and oblige to all the regulations even After the conversion course. There is not automatic Registration even for local graduates.
Thankyou ceridwyn. My consultancy told me that conversion course accepts below 7.0 and they told me that i dont need to register for aphra since after the graduation they will issue the au license for nurse. But I'm not sure if that's true. Thank you again!
I know someone who took the conversion course and she retook the ielts and needed 7 in all bands to for registration.
Please help I am so desperate with my situation as im graduating this year from BS Nursing in a university in Sydney. However, I cant pass my IeLTS requirements, which is 7. Can you suggest what should I do? Is there anyone in this forum who can share the experience in the similar situation as I have now?
I dont know what to do. My visa will end on February 2014. Should i get a men student visa course for a cheaper courae like business management while im trying to pass my IELTS, that way i can still stay here in Australia?
Please help, im so depress and desperate with my situation.
