I have started a thread in the Immigration for Immigration requirements for Australia/New Zealand
A great help to the forum would be to report how you found the course (clinicals) difficulty and how far away did you go? and how is the job hunting is going.? Have you or class members found work as yet? I am sure the forum members would appreciate any of this information. Thanks.
To be honest, I have no difficulty at all.The patients, staff, educator were all supportive.I found the work less stressful compared to what i'm used to.Nursing practice is safe, systematic, organized.About nursing skills, there are some points which do not conform to the ideal ways.I'm not quite sure about the reasons,it could be due to ?laziness,?ncompetence.
dont worry, i got mine in 13 long months..
that's a very long wait, where did u send your application, QLD? The problem is I am currently on a student visa in Australia, I hope I can finish everything before it expires, and this is why I feel so frustrated. If I were still working in hospitals while I'm waiting for their response, I wouldn't be so worried. As I have been studying here for two and half years (away from clinical nursing), I felt I am losing my skills everyday
Just keep on doing followups..I did mine every week :)
I used to do followups every week as well, but I found that some people are so unhelpful on the phone, they didn't even bother to contact the case officer. I guess I just have to keep ringing them and sending web enquiries. Hopefully, I will get a response soon. Otherwise, I will prepare to lodge a complaint about it as the last choice.

Hi I got my offer letter from IHNA today and now to go forward with the immunisation requirements. I am residing in the UK for the last four years but basically I am an Indian citizen. It should be a nightmare for me to get my vaccination record since childhood and I don't even know if my paediatrician is still available in the same place where I was born. Could anyone please suggest any other alternative for this. I understood that Immunisation clearance is a must for clinical placements. Bit worried now. Thanks
Hi rikkindu! Which questions were you asked in the interview? Congratulations, by the way. :)
It's a case to case basis.I got mine in less than 2 mos.from Victoria. My friend got hers for more than a year from Perth.Just be persistent in following up your application.Goodluck!!
Hello, jbernardo1475!
My application was also fowarded to VIC. How soon did you hear from AHPRA? Did they wait until they received your documents from either PRC or British Council? Thanks. :)
