I took an online medical terminology. It was not required, but was very helpful, especially because it teaches you how to break down a lot of medical terms.
My school offers a lot of online classes & I find that to be very convenient, especially since I work. I took everything except microbiology, A & P 1, & A & P 2 online. I am a very organized student so I do well in the online setting. But I did not have a problem getting accepted into a nursing program with a large number of classes taken online.
Mine was online. Very helpful. I took it as a pre req for when I did the surgical technology program. Now about to start my nursing classes at another school and doing a BSN I don't understand how this class is not a pre requisite. Some of my classmates in A&P 2 and micro had no idea about prefixes and word roots so I'm sure it was a lot harder for them.
I'm doing Medical Terminology online this summer so I can comp out of Med Term in nursing school in the fall Prior to this year, I had never taken an online class before, but now that I've had a few, I really like them! The professor I have for Med Term was my Intro to Health Professions instructor last fall. It was a hybrid class (part online, only meet once every few weeks in the classroom) and she's was a wonderful online instructor. Made me feel much better about taking a fully online class! Go for it!!!
I took medical terminology in high school & it was very easy ... probably one of the easiest classes I've taken. I still wouldn't take it online just because I don't think I would do well in any full online class .. I would probably be the one forgetting deadlines like the previous post said .. but that's just me. I have taken 'hybrid' classes tho & I enjoyed them. If you think you can do well taking it online go for it!

Would it be bad to take a medical terminology class online through my community college? Also, how do you all feel about online classes in general compared to the traditional setting?
