Here is a thread for those who applied to Medical City Summer 2021 Nurse Residency. Applications opened up earlier, but has anyone heard back?  Good luck to us all!☺️

I just got offered a position in the NVICU at MC Dallas. Has anyone else accepted a position there?!?

Hey everyone. Does anyone know if relocation assistance is offered to us? I know they have it for the regular RN positions but I wasn't sure about new grads?

Hi! If you don’t mind me asking, is this something that’s already included or how do we go about receiving relocation assistance? I’m relocating for the residency as well.

When I got my offer my recruiter called me on the phone and she already knew that I was coming from out of state so she just mentioned it to me. I would just get into contact with your recruiter and ask if you haven’t mentioned that you’ll be moving!

Thank you! I’ll definitely call my recruiter!

Hey, I recently applied for a position at the Children's medical city, but I didn't receive any confirmation email. Did anyone else experience that?

Hi All!

Im so happy that I found this thread. Does anyone know the base pay for RN's after internship? Are there differentials, or bonuses? I have already interviewed and am already a nurse but I will be a graduate RN. I'm hoping to receive an offer from them and another hospital. I know how much the other one pays, I just don't know about Med City. It ultimately will decided which one I choose to go with.

During the internship portion you will be paid $1000 biweekly unless you’re in OR then it’s different. After the 10-12 week internship period, the hourly rate will be $26.85 for most, it may differ depending on department and experience. My recruiter told me for my unit night differ. is $3.75 for nights and $4.30 for weekends, again this might be different for other departments but I believe this is about average. Also I was able to get $3000 relocation assistance that will be added onto my first check if that’s something you are interested in as well. I hope this helps!

OK thank you. Do you know if they start you at the $1000 biweekly if you are already a nurse?

Hi guys!

Anyone accept a positon at MCA for the med surg unit? Had an interview on last Monday and accepted a position on one of the med/surg units. Good luck to all other applicants as well!

I got an offer for a med-surg ortho trauma position at Med City Arlington and am hesitant to take it because of the 3 year contract and $1000 bi-weekly. I know this is pretty standard at all Med City locations but has anyone else had a hard time accepting the offer due to these reasons??

Hi! I just interviewed for a position for the ortho trauma position with ortho trauma. wating for the finalities of the contract and such with the recruiter before I accept. We should link up since we will likely be in the same cohort June 2021!
